On NFL network somebody mentioned the teams that tackle well during the few remaining games usually wins, because at the point in time every player is beaten and sore that they are hesitant to tackle real hard.
Well, our team was already mangled up at the very first game. So this why the 49ers are team that they are right now. You'll keep seeing players missing tackles or kinda avoid some fysicality because the coach beat them up real good already.
I have a theory on the tackling. I actually think the teams who are better accustomed to cold weather do better in the tackling aspect. It's far more difficult to tackle in 20 degrees than it is in 50, wet or dry.
I don't think soreness has much to do with the ability to tackle. In the GB game, the players appeared a little more stiff.

You do realize there are a lot of coaches who have rigorous workouts in the offseason too ? You do realize that there are a good number of players who also put themselves through the same individually during the offseason ?
This is not why the 49ers are the team they are right now.
Agreed.
And this goes without mentioning that Singletary actually curtailed the training camp this year in comparison to last year. There have been numerous quotes by Maiocco and Barrows in saying that this last camp was seemingly no different to most other NFL camps.

You guys have to look at the big picture, Sing puts a lot of pressure on the players not just physically but most importantly - mentally. Players and coaches already quit because of his mouth and inconsistent approach, favoritism, flip flopping mentality. The physical part although it;s been less this year, is more frequent and intense than what other teams did...
Just because Sing wants to have a fysical and mentally tough team. As a fan, at this point I am tired of his blah blah! Imagine if you are one of his players?
