"My decision to relieve Josh McDaniels as head coach was not taken lightly," Broncos president and CEO Pat Bowlen said in a statement. "I will always be appreciative of his passion, enthusiasm and hard work, and I thank him for his efforts. In the end, I was not satisfied with the results and the direction this team was headed. The decision to make a change was extremely difficult but one that needed to be made for this organization and our fans."

In other words, "Thanks, but no thanks, Josh. You don't know what the f**k you're doing."

Who is going to act as interim? Manusky is the only candidate and not a good one at that. If he doesn't do so well, I doubt they keep him and then we need a new DC too (which might happen anyway).

If we lose Sunday, Sing might be fired as the season would officially be over. However, we still have the initial problem that I stated
Wait ... wait ... Paraag is checking ... ok, he is putting together an action plan with a team of highly skilled medical professionals just like he learned in grad school ... hold on a second ...
i think he is still watching the film
You can't even compare the two. McDaniles came in and immediately got rid of their two best players, then gave up draft picks to trade UP in the 1st round to get a QB that wouldn't have been drafted for another round or two after that, at least.

You can say all you want about Sing not having the skills to be an NFL head coach, but nothing he's done has set back the 49ers for years like what McDaniels has managed to do in such a short period of time.

VERY TRUE! If Sing had drafted Tebow, Cut Marshall and Cutler I would have wanted him shot!

Trading Peyton Hillis for Brady Quinn was an epic FAIL! Don't blame Pat Bowlen for pulling the trigger on McDaniels with 4 game remaining!
Well....Jed didn't have too much trouble cutting the cord on Nolan.

This time around there is really no point in firing Sing before the seasons finished. As Maiocco pointed out, any coach on the staff that the Niners might consider as an interim guy might be someone they want to keep on staff after the new coach is hired (Like Manusky, Solari, Tomsula, Rathman).

If someone is named the interim guy, he is typically the first guy fired after the season.

There is zero benefit to firing Sing before the season is out. Just be patient. The Samurai is just about done.

I´M PERUVIAN WHIT BIG COJONES...HEHEHEHEHE
Jed has enough cojones to fire Mike and replace him with McDaniels
I feel your frustration all the way. Most of us want Sing gone today. However you know it won't change anything at this point. Let him finish the year and evaluate your team again.

Like Kawakami pointed out, Jed can do it right this time by having a plan B before pulling the trigger on Sing. Let Sing bleed to death slowly while Jed does his research and find out price tags on who would be available.

I read somewhere that Chucky won't become available until 2012 because he wants his son to graduate in Florida first. Which gives me a bad feeling that Singletary might stay for another year until Chucky is ready to move his family.

Even though I would love Chucky to come here I hope you're right. I can not take another season of Singletary
