This was simply a bad matchup, and to play it on the road is simply not a fair contest. I called a 37-20 Chargers win, but I completely overestimated the Niners offense in this contest.
The Niners OL has been abused this entire contest. Both ends are flying around the corner, and Rachal has been...himself. Smith really doesn't have much of a shot back there.
This. What the heck is he supposed to do. No one's blocking for him, getting open, or catching the ball when it does come to them..
Our defense is playing 15 yard cushions and dropping gift-wrapped interceptions. We're now being pounding off the ball and look like we're at half speed compared to San Diego. I'm not sure I can watch this anymore knowing it's a 100% guaranteed loss.
Perhaps I'll just switch on the S.J. Sharks game.
