That's got to be one of the keys our defense needs to lead with ...... lots of pressure and some good hard sacks ...... or he will pick us apart if he is healthy.

I hope he gets to see Willis in his face a few times.

I know the season has been rough and a huge let down so it's hard to imagine positive things, but if you do not think this 49er defense as a unit have been in Manusky's ear about attacking them this week, I think you have another thing coming. Spikes, Smith, Sopoaga and Clements have very prideful and animated (to say the least) personalities. Willis leads by example. I would be SHOCKED if they have let that embarrassment up in Seattle slide. With Singletary down and reaching for that last glimpse of hope, I fully expect an aggressive defense AND offense on Sunday.

just put him on his back and let them carry him off to the sidelines.

I am really torn on this game! The homer part of me wants to win and still believes in our playoff hopes! The other half (maybe closer to a quarter) is saying lose the damn game, so we quit this crappy playoff talk, and be done with the Sing/Alex failure...

I know what you mean but we are going to win this game. The game that will decide our playoff hopes will be that St. Louis game. Most of us expect them to lose this week and they have a HUGE chance of getting the ball ran down their throat next week when we will mostly likely push Rivers into the front runner for the MVP race but it's that week 16 game that will make or break us IMHO
Here's what I think will happen. We'll do our part in giving us a chance to reach the playoffs, but the other teams will not lose the games we need them to. Thus, screwing up our top draft pick. All for nuthin, FOR NUTHIN!

LOL! The way things have gone in the past 8 years, I wouldn't count that scenario out such as week 15 when the Rams play the Chiefs. Unfortunately for us, that game is in STL because if it was in KC, I would definitely chalk that up as a loss for the Rams but even with that, I think KC is good enough to go into STL and control that game on the ground and then week 17, I think SEA can definitely beat STL at home but we'll see. We just need to handle business starting with this week. one week at a time, skip next week and then one week at a time again (please prove me wrong and compete with SD)

Personally, I want Alex Smith to light it up and take us to 8-8 playoffs or no playoffs. I want us to be in a position to truly have no question mark at QB going into next year along with a legitimate backup in Troy Smith.

Give me a clear picture of our QB situation and no playoffs and I don't care if we have a top 10 pick.

2nd and 3rd would be a solid GM and HC.

All of this would be a dream come true!

I believe our talent at almost every position is as good as or better than all of our competition, with the primary question marks being QB and DB. IF Alex can play like he did during the comeback against the Texans, Saints, or Eagles for four quarters and he gets even average support from the defense I think we'll be unstoppable. I still believe in him, but it's a big if.

Two big points:

Will RJF start for Franklin? Is do, he's a very weak link on our DL given his play from last week. That would allow Lynch to play his game and he's the type of runner we have problems containing.

Will Alex Smith mirror his practice where he was not crisp at all running the two-minute drill?

Just those two positions can make or break us in this game. I certainly hope Alex gets his cohones to swell up with rage and confidence!

Let them swing baby, let them swing! The swagger has to come out now!!!!!!

Yea, like that's going to happen. I hope it does. History shows it doesn't.

Adam Meyer says we blow SEA out. He's been good on his Niners picks.
