I've posted multiple times about this. Mariucci's problem was with Walsh, the GM not the Yorks. And Mariucci also inherited a really strong team with a younger HOF QB and a stacked offense and defense top to bottom. Read why the Niners got rid of Siefert above. And please stop trying to make the ridiculous argument that Mariucci was a better or good of a coach as Siefert. Also, as you pointed above, Siefert actually had a hand in BUILDING those teams- Mariucci couldn't even manage TO and didn't build s**t. He couldn't even find a QB and Walsh had to save his ass after choosing to start Lawrence Phillips. If Walsh doesn't give Mariucci Jeff Garcia on a silver platter, Mooch doesn't have a winning record.

See it's people like you who like to twist history. Naw dude that's not rain .... Try again.

One last thing .....

Siefert went to Carolina and won ... a lot and routinely beat the 49ers.

Mariucci went to Detroit and lost ... a lot.

Seifert was 16-32 in Carolina. Infact mooch had a better win % in Detroit than Seifert in carolina

Both were much better with us then with other organizations. Seifert had eclipsed madden's winning % high water mark in his 8 years with us. I hated seeing it erode in Carolina. That 2001 1-15 year really marred his career marks.

I really liked George. I just don't feel like he get the respect he numbers command with the Niners. It just wasn't as easy as he made it look. I mean he was HC for 8 years and led a team to 5 conference title games and won 2 titles.

Found it funny how 95.7 the game tried to make a story out of the fact that Eddie D didn't mention Jed in his speech. Said that he should of at least gave him a vote of confidence lol
