Our offensive line has got the worst footwork in the league. They are slow off the ball and play to high.Anyone else notice how technically bad they are? It cant be talent it has to be the coaching.

You think Solari and Brown are over-rated?

I dont think they are overated because their resume speaks for itself. You would think that after 10 games of playing together they would be better. Rachel and Davis are the weak links in the line thats for sure.
Something is definitely up. However, the real way to judge would be if there were a change made in the O-line, say Rachal for Snyder. Or playing Davis on a limited basis and rotating Alex Boone in some (or even Staley when he was healthy, with Sims at LT). I wonder how things would look then. . .

I would be willing to bet that Solari is gone after this season by his own doing. I dont think he views the 49ers job as more than a one year stop until something better comes along. I am sure the players expecially young guys like Davis who really need to learn sense this. Rachal could be good but I dont think he takes critism well and shuts down and plays worse. I hope now that he has a child he grows up and acts like a pro.

I don't think you can blame it on the coaching staff for the following reasons:

- Heitmann is the leader of that offensive line. He was the one who called out the defensive alignments to the QB. And he's the one that was the most consistent OL out of our entire roster. I guarantee you that our offensive line would look somewhat better with him in there instead of Baas.

- Rachal reminds me a lot of Alex Smith along the O-line. He's a good guy off the field, but he doesn't play with a mean streak on the field. He's too hesitant on the field, and he continuously makes the wrong blocking reads.

- This leads to additional difficulty for Anthony Davis to play at RT. If you have a new center and an inconsistent and dumb guard beside you, you'll start to try doing two jobs at once. Davis has had horrible moments mind you, but I think he'd look better if we had consistency at RG.

Basically, Baas, Rachal, and Staley have been mediocre players at their respective positions for 2+ seasons. Don't expect different results if you continue to cook with the same rotting ingredients.
tell solari that! What the hell are they teaching these guys. Do they think that solari is good cuz he yells all the time?

Because they may not get zero push but were not getting pushed into gore either. For 2006 was gores best year, but before Larry Allen and After we haven't had anyone that could block a old lady in a chair. You want to know how gore does it simple. he's been doing it since he was a rookie running behind horrible olines he makes things happen he's been doing it for to long now we need others to make things happen so his job is easier. Mike was know to play high we drafted him knowing that. it will take time he didn't have to play low in college because he so freaking talented he never need to learn the little things that can make him great. But he will in time. Davis i hope comes along also but i've seen more in half a season with him then all Kharris season combined.
Been saying its coaching all along...
