Are we better suited for the 4-3?

I don't know if this has been discussed recently but it seems like the 3-4 just isn't cutting it, the way it was supposed too. Our best player, aka Patrick Willis is having a solid season but not his usual spectacular one. Perhaps that has a lot to do with Franklin not building off his play last season. I just feel like with two interior lineman and two ends, Willis and the other linebackers would have more time to get to the ball and less time having to worry about shedding blockers. Does anyone else think this?
