He should be saying something like "While we're still mathematically in it, I'm extremely disappointed at the product that this organization has put on the field, and we should be embarrassed that we're pinning our hopes on a division where every team is playing mediocre football. The standards of this organization are higher than that."

You summarize the way I feel at the moment. Any hope I had from reading the Eddie DeBartolo article from last week has vanished -- followed by this pathetic and unrealistic goat bleat claiming that "we can still win the division."

No Jed, we can't. To win a division title a team must be -- first -- competitive -- and second -- it must win more games than it loses.

As evidenced by yesterday's blowout loss -- your team is "not competitive" and will not win more games than it loses. The season is over. Period. End of story. You will begin to see that fans refuse to buy into your Orwellian "Animal Farm" pronouncements that counter cold, hard reality. The refusal will be demonstrated plainly in the number of empty seats during the next home game.

I had high hopes for you Jed York. I really did. I drank the koolaid. But now -- I can see clearly. And it's become quite clear that you're a bigger idiot than your father -- and that's saying something -- since he brought idiocy up to an entirely new level.
Just have to wait and see... again.

So what's he supposed to say? The 49ers suck and won't win another game? He's standing behind his players. Orwellian? Seriously bro you're reaching. You've given up on Jed York based on a few brash statements he's made? You're not even going to wait and see what moves he makes after the season?

Whatever faith I have (had) has been destroyed by his pathetic goat bleats of "the season isn't over."
Jed York was pretty much forced into hiring Singletary whether he really wanted to or not. I can see why Jed would want to hang onto Sing for the remainder of the season: he doesn't want a repeat of this situation.

We'll see what he does once the season is over. That's how we will truly know how cut out he is for the job.

A team with a worse record and a more proven coach (cowboys) with a much "worse owner" decided it was time to make a change. Mid-season. Then saw victory and motivation because of it. Even in their loss yesterday, they played their hearts out to come back from a large score.

Both of those teams were supposed to be better than the 49ers, both of them considered contenders for the NFC championship but had worse records than we did at the time, and both of those coaches were there for MUCH longer than Sing has been here when they were fired. That comparison is retarded, at best (that's being nice).

The reason people are "down on jed" is because him, and his gene pool, haven't done anything productive other than talk.

No? I'm pretty sure he's from the same gene pool as Eddie D. And as for what they've done on his watch, only lock up the teams two best players for years to come to what looks to be cap-favorable contracts.

They talked themselves and investors into a proposition for a stadium. Newsflash... the stadium is seing roadblocks thanks to this season.

You can't really believe that is the case.

They continued to let go of potentially good talent/staff while continuing to keep a proven....ly bad... quarterback on the team and chose to keep working with him.

Who? Shawn Hill? LOL!

I don't even think I need to continue.
