Do you also believe in Santa ?

Alex really wasnt that bad. his problem is he doesnt take enough risks with the ball. the problem with Troy is he takes too many risks and doesnt connect. both of them have a huge problem that they cant overcome, HC and the OC. no one will succeed until these a*****es are cut out

Nope, Alex Smith and Singletary are gone after the season no matter what.

New secondary and a passrusher. and some skill player and a pro bowl qb. lol stanford's head coach!

Um, we need a new oline or an oline coach that can actually turn our current crop of turdbags around.

We lead the league in QB hits..our QBs have been hit 66 times in 10 games.

What? What Line is starting a Rookie on the end and a Rookie on the other side? Are they successful?

I agree that the Line is not very good at the moment. But the upside here is that our Line should be MUCH better next season. Solari is not the problem. The man can only do so much with what he has at his disposal.

You don't throw out the baby with the bath water. Too many of you wish to do this every year. Well in the past I would have agreed somewhat. The Line even when we had solid Veterans on it sucked. When the unit fails like that, traditionally it's the Coach not the unit. In this case with 2 rookies on the Line(3 if you count Baas @ Center) it would be stupid to throw in the towel and start over.

Sims will be fine at LT in place of Staley who really wasn't playing that well anyway. Personally I think that Staley makes a better RT than LT. HE's been getting lit up, but that I think is more on the game plan than the personnel. When you call the same plays over and over through 4 quarters there is nothing any Lineman can do to keep the opponent from stacking the box and giving you the bums rush.

But it's not going to matter if the replacement HC(If Sing is let go) decides to clean house and bring in their own people. Gruden will more than likely do this if his choices aren't already working someplace else. But this pretty much goes for anybody(except Mooch) that would take over.

My point is though that if you were expecting a better Line just cause we got some Linemen in the draft, then just stop watching Football. Cause you are never going to understand or be willing to sit through the growing process. I think some of you should stop watching Football anyway cause you don't know anything about the game but since I'm not an elitist I can tolerate you. Maybe someday you'll get it. Doubtful, but I'm not a pessimist so I'll give you the BoD.

Alex has had a lot of chances, and there are various reasons why his play could have sucked, but i still believe he will blossom fully when he goes somewhere with a real coach.
Alex is gone, and so is this baltimore/chicago hybrid failure of a regime.

Some of you geniuses want Gruden to replace Sing. I think that would be an excellent choice. But I would like to point out to you that Gruden DOES like Alex and has had no qualms saying so.

The thing that has been killing us every season is not the QB. It's the quality of the playcalling and the tardiness of it. No QB can thrive in that environment. Not one. You think Brady and Manning are gods? They need continuity like everybody else. They need protection like everybody else. And they need their teammates like everybody else.

I figure Alex is gone at the end of the season anyway. But I would laugh my ass off if he got picked up and had a beter career elsewhere. Look at Shaun Hill. He's on a crappy Lions team and he's playing better than he EVER did here.

You're fooling yourselves if you believe that Shaun Hill is a better QB than Alex is. He's just in a better environment, even one as bad as Detroit.

I tend to agree across the board. Alex has a ton of game in him, but really needs some work with an OC who can rebuild his confidence. Nobody is going to play well consistently in this system.

give nate a shot!!!
Ceadermann, "sims will be fine"??? Did you watch any of the Bucs game? If you saw any one play where we had the ball, you'd agree with me that Barry Simms is the absolute worst player in the NFL. I agree that Staley is average at best, but Sims has no chance of blocking anyone. And it hurts BADD that Chilo Rachal is not much better on the other side.

We got destroyed last week bc there was no pocket for Troy to even begin to develop becoming a pocket passer (like kurt warner insists). There was barely time to get gore the handoff before white bucs jerseys were in the backfield. We've gotta shake things up!!! Wragge is a better lineman than rachal and sims combined. SF coaches have got to put in theirv best guys. Last weeks line is not going to get a W...I guarantee that.
...and who is gore supposed to pick up when guys are leaking through almost every gap?

i approve this message

Its not Alex's fault that he sucks. we just failed terribly at developing him.
Thats why I would rather have us trade for a legit QB instead of drafting another one and hoping that he will pan out. We failed miserably to develop a 1st round pick, what makes you think itll be better this time?

but i agree that its time to move on, its whats best for the 9ers and Smith

lol nice. it's so obvious isn't it every game that he sucks, and his regression doesn't help out Anthony Davis.
