don't downplay the fact that you created an A. Smith controversy out of thin air.
"Gee i'm getting tire of all the A. Smith Comments"
You said that in a thread discussing 2011 player evaluation in which Smith's name was not brought up prior to your fabrication of such event.

I looked at Alex playing against NO, PHIL, and OAK, which are the 2nd, 13th, and 4th ranked teams in pass defense this year, respectively. Alex's average non-weighted QB rating against these teams is 87.4. There are 27 QBs who have also played against these three teams this year, and their non-weighted QB ratings average 78.7.
Therefore, it shows that despite the handicaps of dealing with Sing, OC, OL and receiver issues, Alex still averaged playing better against these teams that are tough to pass against than the other QBs who played them this year.
This is why I contend that Alex is not trash; he can be a very decent QB if he played on a team that supported him to the degree that most of the other good QBs in this league enjoy.
Since YOU brought it up....Alex Smith is gone in 2011 cause he sucks ass. He has a terrible rating and has too many turnovers.

QB - We may keep Nate and Troy, but Alex and Carr are gone for sure.
RB - Westbrook is gone, Norris needs to be
TE - I wouldn't be upset if they traded Vernon. He still makes toooooo many mistakes
WR - I would be okay with only keeping Crabs and Ziegler. Morgan is easily replaceable with 3rd rounder or later. Williams will likely stick around. Ginn may stick around too
OL - Wragge, Sims need to go.
ST - all likely staying
DL - Aubrayo and Evans can leave.
LB - bye bye Parys and LaBoy. Spikes may retire
CB - Clements cost to much
S - Goldson can leave, Taylor will probably jet too (or is he on PS?)
With all of that, I could see about 12-18 players from our current 53 leaving or being traded. Considering we are no better than last year, it may be a good time to really shake things up! We need to draft in this order QB, CB, OG, WR, RB (speedy).

Hey go to an Alex topic for this. I am an Alex supporter and have been all along but even I can see he needs a change and we need a change. Get over it.

Every year someone post that Wragge should go, yet he step in and play any position asked to play and always preforms pretty well. It is hard to find a guy that you feel comfortable putting in at any position on the line.

True! He is just not being given the opportunity. Your probably right that he does provide good depth!

Surprise trade: Frank Gore.
It seems likely that we're moving to an offensive-minded HC, and unless we hire Norv Turner/Billick, I do not see Frank sticking around. Mainly because he's toxic to the locker-room when he's not getting the ball enough, was a Nolan/Singletary type of guy, and has just about 2 'quality' years left in him.
-It might also be smart to give Gore some new life elsewhere at both his expense, and the expense of some quality trade acquisitions/draft picks going into 2011 (as we're going to have A LOT of holes to fill).

That's a personal insult calling me wusweel. You should get a nice warning for that.
That kind of behavior is completely uncalled for.
He shoulda called you McLovin. Then it wouldn't be a warnable post.

Niner Talk FTW. LMFAO.
LOL sorry, but Frank Gore = Brett Favre of RBs. The entire team/offense centers around him.
