Gene Washington, when I was 8 years old and my dad was covering the Niners we would go to training camp, If we got bored with practice some of us kids would play a little football, or go to lounge and play pool. I was then and am now a pretty bad pool player.

The players would come into lounge after lunch and "play" us for the table, I will never forget Gene Washington letting me win, it wasn't easy for him he had to not only miss every shot he had to set me up with unmissable gimmie shots! He was an amazing football player, and a heck of a nice guy!
