I was wondering about that also. I kept expecting the fans to start booing and chanting for Carr

Seriously though, Why wasn't there more anger from the crowd? I was pissed watching that abomination of a team try to move the ball.

The Bucs had 8 sacks ALL SEASON LONG. Today, the Bucs sacked Smith 5 f**kING TIMES!

5 times? I think you mean six.

If you thought it was bad there at the Stick, you should have listened to Chris Meyers and Kurt Warner broadcast the game.....ugh

o my I guess I am glad I went to the game. Trust me the Stick was Sick. It was about as bad as I have ever seen it.

I would be pissed if I paid money to watch that.
first shutout at home since '77, hell yeah it was the worst game ever in our time!
but then again i'd take it over a heartbreaking playoff loss like in 87, 90, 92, 95, and lastly 97. those would be the worse games ever.

I'm pissed I wasted 3 hours watching from my couch.
I've seen more intense preseason crowds. It was like the game was played behind closed doors. If this ineptitude continues, blackouts are looming. This franchise is giving the fans absolutely zero reasons to come out on Sundays.
Having been at Arrowhead for the Niners' last 2 visits, I think I got you beat, sir!

Haha, I'm sorry. I'm not much in a 'cheering up' mood atm.

But hell, not only could we not run (against a horrible run defense) we couldn't do anything.

Our defense was pretty good though (except, yet again, turnovers where no where in sight). Holding TB to 21 points is not too bad while our offense was extremely inept.

Exactly. Where was the booing.

Boos only come out when Alex is on the field.

with good reason.

A crappy fumble followed by 2 TDs in 5 minutes vs a shut out at home after 33 years?

Youre right. BOOOOOO ALEX.

Worst game i ever watched in the last 30 + years! So much potential and talent and we have terrible coaching to let all that talent go to waste!
There has to be a reason why the team came out so flat today. I mean -- there was absolutely no fire. I've seen incompetence out of 49er teams before -- but never the lack of effort that I saw today.

Perhaps it was the conservative game plan? Perhaps something else? Perhaps something happened during the week that we'll never know or it will come out later.

All I know is this: I saw clip after clip of our new offensive coordinator claiming to call on all position coaches when it came to game planning.

I doubt any of them said "run Gore up the middle" all game long.

Yet -- strangely -- that's exactly what we did.
We suck. But apparently its Alex smiths fault? Right shaj? You piece if s**t

i truly feel troy is (at this time) incapable of finding the seams and holes of that tampa2 defense so coaching shyed away from to and instead came out committing to the run and not much more. i woulda at least called for consistant playfakes and take the deepshot til something opened up. it's pretty much how defenses in prior years would had gameplan us not having any kinda receiver threat and dared us to run gore
