Thank God were not limited to only getting rid of one QB after the season!
If it's only one then I think Carr is gone; but, I'm sure were going to drop Carr and Smith. Possibly Davis too if he hasn't improved on the PS...

It is hard to make a case for keeping any of the three although it is likely that Davis will still be around.
The staff clearly has no confidence in Carr and Alex will almost certainly leave on his own if Singletary is still coach.

as much as I'd like to say Alex Smith, if we could only get rid of one, it's gotta be Carr. Dude is f'n worthless.

There is absolutely no way the 49ers could bring Alex back. Unless they want an angry mob of fans rioting outside their headquarters!
Oh, and Carr is gone too. Davis and Troy Smith will be retained.

I just hope this board is half as excited about Troy in 6 weeks as it is today. A lot can change between now and the end of the season. I just hope everyone doesn't put on their rosy glasses while we are playing the weakest part of the schedule.

There is a pretty substantial chance that none of our four QB's this season could be on the roster. Each coach has to evaluate and decide who they want to be their starter. The next coach will make that call.

It should be Alex Smith. I've already told all my friends that the day Alex is released I'm having a cookout.

Agreed! I am tired of the "Alex Smith is turning the corner" talk... he needs to be gone after this season, along with Carr... Depending on how the rest of the season plays out, they may all be gone!
