Jason Hill waived

Joe Nedney looked fine on FGs/PATs. But he didn't get much depth on kickoffs. Obscure kickoff specialist is my guess for 49ers roster spot.
Jason who?

Oh yeah, that guy. I somewhat remember him.

League source: 49ers are likely to sign one of three kickers -- Shane Andrus, Garrett Lindholm or Swayze Waters -- with Joe Nedney hobbled.

We all know what Andrus can do.

Swayze Waters was a camp kicker for the Raiders this past year. They brought him in specifically for his power. Prior to this season, he spent time with Detroit.

Lindholm is an interesting prospect in that he comes from a D2 school. He has a powerful leg as well.

This would not be a bad time to audition a new kicker. Nedney is still solid but he is 38?. Having a replacement in line now would save a FA action or draft pick next spring.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Hill back on the team again after Nedney heals.

My money's on Shane Andrus coming back for a few weeks until Nedneys fit again.

I had not seen anything on Nedney except that his knee was bothering him. How long will he be out. Lets cut carr also though.
