Troy and Ginn have connected on many deep passes in their career...I don't know how you act like it is out of the realm of possibility that it would be hard for them establish a rhythm again.
Also even if we didn't connect as often as we would like, it would make the defense respect the deep ball when ever they see Ginn on the field. Morgan is good, but he is not a burner and I'm sure teams would be comfortable not having to use a safety over the top on his side.

We need to use Troy to Ginn more on offense.

SO HOW THE f**k DID HE CATCH THAT 65 yard BOMB from Nate Davis????
how do we know he hasn't shown improvement if we don't give him a chance....yall act like he as been dropping passes for us this year or something.
as far as Coaches not understanding.....have you forgotten who our Head Coach is...you act like we have knowledgeable Head Coach who understands offense....or who can judge offensive players.

Ginn has terrible hands and runs terrible routes.

he has zero listed drops this season....he has been targeted 15 times and has 5 receptions.
the rest of those passes were considered uncatchable apparently.....and judging who his previous QB was, that is totally believable.

Like it's that easy.
how about you use your regular user name "new" guy...are you an exAlex fanboy trying to start off fresh?
as far as our QBs connecting deep with Ginn.... I guess Nate Davis made it look easy huh?
and if Alex had did his part, he would have hit Ginn on a deep bomb against the Seahawks after Ginn burnt his man.
look I'm not saying Ginn should be our #1 WR or what ever...but from what I've seen this year, Ginn has shown improvement from his days in Miami..I see him holding on to the ball more and making more catches.

What does Alex have to do with this? Seriously you must be infatuated with the guy, you can't help but bring him up.
My point, is that when watching the games on TV, you don't see when the play is called what the safeties are doing unless they are in the box. Fans like you and me have no idea if a we have an opportunity over the top, and fans that want to scream for the deep ball have no idea when the situation dictates it.
As for bringing up a deep ball from Nate Davis in a friggin' preaseason game when the defense is vanilla, well, you need to understand the game of football a little better, because that play and a regular season game is some serious apples and oranges.

I think Troy might be a better passer than Vick, not nearly the athlete though.

well we semi have the poor man's version here..
so I say we stretch the field more with that combination.... Troy to Ginn.
Morgan played well and got open.....but I still feel we need to some how try and get Ginn in there for some huge plays.
hopefully this week
Ginn is no D.Jackson dude. There is a reason MIA completely just cut ties w/Ginn. He's OK at best IMO as a WR and PR/KR (goes out of bounds to easily IMO)

You're trippin' dude. And then brining up Alex when it has nothing to do with anything, calm down.[ Edited by binary2nd on Nov 15, 2010 at 19:40:02 ]

I brought up the Nate pass because it was an example of Ginn showing that he can catch a deep ball. Are you telling me that if it was the regular season he would have drop it because it is was not preseason anymore?
I gave a couple of examples of Ginn doing his part when ever given the opportunity with our team....like I said before, the Seahawks game (which was a regular season game sweetheart) Ginn burnt his man and was open.
I am not "screaming" for the deep ball all game or what ever. But if we are going to try and stretch the field, I'd like for us to try to do it with Ginn as well....more so than with Morgan.

That Ginn play was a fluke preseason play vs. 2nd stringers and he didn't have a guy within 5 feet of him. Using that as some sort of example that Ginn is now a capable WR and has "arrived" is ridiculous.

Seriously, I didn't even bring up Alex and the guy loses his pants over my post and needs to bash Alex some more. Hopefully he's got some maxi-pads handy, he might start bleeding any minute now.

Teams that know how to utilize the personnel that they have are the ones who have good coaches.
