Top 3 in most pentalized teams

I was about to make a new thread, but this seems like a good enough place to post this: a list of all 15 penalties from week 10's game:

Brooks offside
Goldson Roughing the Passer
Brooks offside
McDonald Encroachment
T Smith Delay of Game (TD negated)
LaBoy Facemask
J Smith offside
LaBoy Roughing the Passer
Iaputi Illegal Formation
Franklin Encroachment
Morgan Holding
A Davis Holding (TD negated)
Staley false start
Staley Holding (TD negated)
Lawson Offside (declined)

Nine of 15 were on defense, and only two were on rookies. Yes, Davis's one penalty negated a TD, but can we quit acting like he single handedly almost cost us the game?

I hate being pentalized!

Thanks for this. The Goldson 15 yard penalty was a hit to the helmet of a WR I believe.

Anyways, the worst of those is the 5 defensive off side penalties. Those are all veterans. Worst is Brooks and on top of it a few times that he has done it he just stands there and lets the play happen. He should run after the QB so they blow the whistle and they don't get a free play.

This team has no discipline. I have no problem with the occassional off sides or encroachment, but way to many nonsensical penalties that are just poor coaching.
Why do I say coaching? Discipline starts and ends with coaching.

Another indictment of a defense that is not playing up to expectations.

I don't want to threadjack this into a Singletary rant but this is a good place to put this comment. I believe Singletary's hyper emotional personality on the sidelines tends to escalate the tension on the field and leads to a lack of focus. If there is just one thing about Singletary I could change, it would be to give him a major "chill pill" before every game. A cool, calm sideline demeanor such as that of Tony Dungy and Bad Bill of Boston results in teams that make fewer mental errors.

We sort of got the QB situation resolved, now its just the penalties. If we stop the penalties....our chances of winning rises.

Please re-post in the "Can We Bench Davis Now" thread. Even if the rook makes those two false starts, the game is still easily won if the VETS don't commit so many penalties/mental errors.

The Raiders, Jets, Eagles, and Titans are ALL around us in terms of penalties, are they poorly coached as well?
