I mentioned earlier in the season how our turnover ratio showed why our record was the way it is and we have slowly fixed that. We are down to -4 but it would be better if our defense got some turnovers. We haven't turned the ball over in the last two games. Now problem is we haven't fixed the penalties. We had 3 TDs and a pic that went down to the 3 yard line taken away due to them. We had 14 penalties and over 100 yards. We must have had 5-6 defensive offsides resulting in free plays and free first downs. We had multiple holds and false starts. Do the coaches not preach to these players or get on their asses about this. Not hard to fix the problem. Pass interference is one thing but offsides on both sides are mental. We are still playing like the dumb team that we where in week 1. Once we stop beating ourselves we can make a serious run.

Yes it's all mental for this team. We have talent but everyone yesterday seemed to have there heads not in the game at one point and another. aka 3rd down still needs fixing. hell lets just get first down right and screw seeing 3rd.

Seriously right?! If the quote "the team takes the personality of their coach" is true, then it would be safe to assume that the team is starting to forget about "fundamentals & technique" as Singletary is forgetting (or knows nothing) about X's & O's?!
Hence the same mistakes week in and week out, and Sing seems to say nothing in detail regarding how to fix this problem other than say "We will continue to bust our tails and move forward."

Troy Smith is the hype right now, and whether or not he's the savior, this team will go no where, if it's constantly going DUMB.

Very annoying. For a team that's supposed to be about discipline it's getting to be very very frsutrating. We'd have 1, maybe 2 losees if this team wasn't so boneheaded and killed itself.

No way, it was only the qb play holding us back and now we have Troy and nothing else matters. Playoffs

The 49ers have the youngest starting offensive line in the NFL (link) and a first year offensive line coach in Solari. This is certainly an area that will improve as time passes.
Defensively, the team ranks 15th in the NFL in penalties.
