I don't see why not. We already know Carr can't play. With Davis, we only know that he most likely can't play.

I dunno.... If you're Miami, and you're down to working out guys like JaMarcus and Ramsey, and you're not totally set for the future at QB anyway, then I think you'd look very seriously at taking a guy like Nate Davis.

All these guys are going to keep saying no one will sign Nate Davis until someone signs him and they will look stupid. The guy has a lot of natural ability, he may be a little dumb, but so what,,, Montana was no rocket scientist ethor.

its not going to happen. Its clear to the NFL now how much his learning disability holds him back.

YES!!! He may not be as good as Troy, but I would rather he be the emergency QB than David Carr.

not arguing here. i know he has a learning disability. but wasn't it his work ethic and not getting prepared in the off season that put him in the dog house?

I think its all of that combined. I posted a link in the Nate Davis thread before but he was quoted by an AP reporter in June saying with his disability he literally can not pronounce the name of the play in the huddle once it comes into the head set. And that he was spending up to 45 minutes a night studying.
I mean you are 3rd or 4th string with a speaking, reading and processing disability and you are spending less than an hour a night trying to get better? I think that's why Singletary lit a fire under his ass and why other teams haven't and wont claim him.

This is all assuming troy smith remains strong and resigns, as deon says, we pay the man.
If Troy does pan out and we end up drafting a late round QB, then I believe it should be Kellen Moore. Kellen is accurate, has a good arm, and has a Montana/Brady like poise and calmness when he is under center. I see him as a future NFL starter within 3 years.

i didn't know it was that bad. i noticed in the cal game that QB Mansions wore playsheet that was color coded. i dont know much about those things, but maybe something like that would work for nate.

Singletary is still making the decisions so nothing that makes sense like that will happen.
