You forget that Singletary is our coach. That has always been the heart of my premise.
The majority of the board mistakenly believed that Alex was the cause of our problems, and that with Troy, Singletary was a good coach. This was an illusion.
Alex was part of the problem. He's just not the only problem and probably not even the biggest problem, but still a problem.
I didn't see that. Even with the winning, people still knew Singletary needed to go. Many, like I, believed Troy could overcome the handicap of him as the coach. But we were wrong.
Yeah it seemed like the general consensus around here was still to call for Sing's head. People had false hope that it would be turned around b/c of Troy, but I wasn't on that ship either. I understand those who are though. It's been so long since we've seen good QB play here that it's natural for us to want to cling to anything that resembles an answer at the position, even if it's for one half of play.
