I think this is a pretty neat story. Did anyone else here this story during the game? I have to think they have unmeasured chemistry together when dating back to pre-teen years. Playing together at a young age and through to Ohio and now the NFL is story book stuff. This could be just the thing Ginn needs to resurrect his career. It sure wont hurt him. And I also think it adds to Troys confidence as well having someone so close on offense. I really think it is helping to make him comfortable. Wouldnt you feel comfortable at a new job if you worked with one of your closest friends?

I thought they were talking about Troy Smith and Frank Gore? I guess I was wrong. It has happened before.

Is there a football story behind this?

I wished they would have let him throw at least one deep pass to Ginn yesterday. These two probably are very familiar with each others tendencies.

Exactly. But our vanilla play calling. One shot to open up the field is all I ask.

Jimmy Raye and his son suck.

If Troy Smith wins and becomes the starter for the rest of the year, Sing/MJ would be smart by starting Ted Ginn over Morgan, for the sake of QB/WR chemistry.
Ginn, VD, Walker, Crabs, & Gore as targets would be explosive.

If they were smart, they'd do it on Sunday. Chemistry with an individual is like riding a bicycle. If they practice with Ginn as a starter all week, they should be good to go. Just worry less about the playbook and more about what these two know works well.
Josh Morgan is a better fit in the slot for our offense anyway, IMO. He's a thicker tougher WR and he can run block.
We should stick with what seemed to me to be working well in the first half against Carolina. Pass out of run formations and run out of pass formations.
Morgan or Walker in the slot for pass formations and Walker at h-back or f-back or whatever the f**k this offensive system wants to call it... lining up in the backfiled like a FB or in two tight for run formations. I also like the 13 formation they've been talking about. That's a monster run formation and if we actually pass out of it, it could work quite well... especially if we use Ginn as the lone WR running a deep pattern.
The only real problem with starting Ginn is that he returns kicks and punts and has done so better than anyone else we have. He isn't the most... robust... WR in the league.
I seem to have lost track of Kyle Williams status. Has anyone heard anything?

I will tell you this. Singletary is not the right guy for a head coach. He might be a great linebacker coach....and motivator....but headcoaches need to know the X's and O's....something Iron mike clearly lacks. I think we would do a better job with Mike Johnson....or whoever on our coaching staff running the show. Just another BONEHEAD move by the yorks.Until we get the coaching situation straight....dont expect any enlightening moves.
I agree with you man. But when you look at the situation like in Minnesota, the actual players have gone public in turning on thier HC.
For some reason, the 49er players have shown nothing but support for Sing, and remain playing hard for him. It seems like they still believe. We as fans can bash all we want, but if these players still believe, sometimes that's all it takes to make certain things happen.
And that is why all of us, pessimists and optimists remain watching this team.
