This season easily because the division is weaker and our talent is stronger than it was in 04 and we still found a way to suck.

that was already implied with the thought of mike nolan and his coaching staff. your re-fix of my fix is invalrod
1999. From championship contenders to Garrison Hearst breaking his leg, Steve Young's final concussion, signing Lawrence Phillips, the worst Bill Walsh draft ever, Steve Senstrom at QB, and the Yorks taking over. To top it all off the Rams win the Superbowl.

Worst. Year. Ever.

2004 was pretty bad, but we all saw it coming. This year is just dreadful, we are the Detroit Lions of the West, but if we win on Sunday (my first Niner game live) most of it will be forgiven.
2010 by far the worst. In 2004 with crap talent:

2004 Tim Rattay started 9 games:
60.9% 2,169 yds 6.7 per 10TD 10INT 55 yds rushing 4.6 avg

2010 Alex Smith started 7 games:
59.1% 1,554 yds 6.4 per 9TD 9INT 43 yds rushing 3.6 avg

And which QB had more talent around them? THAT is why this season sucks more.

OMG Rattay (in 12 NFL starts into his 5th year) > Alex Smith (in his 30+ NFL starts into his 6th year)

Fellas, I'm not trying to say it's a duck, but...if looks like a duck....

Or getting kicked in the balls from 1:00 till 4:00 every sunday, 10:00 till 1:00 for away games! But only for 16 weeks, unless the add 2 games!

We all knew the 2004 team had zero talent and would suck, it was a wonder they won 2 games. We were all expecting 8-10 wins out of this 2010 squad.

I've never been kicked in the balls before, but I'm sure it's not cool.

This is kind of where I'm coming from. I actually stopped watching the games in 2004 at about game 5 knowing that it was futile and became interested in other things like moving from PHX to LV that fall. This year we supposedly had the firepower to be good. I got my mancave all dialed in complete with Sunday Ticket and I was sure we were playoff bound by default.

Damn!!!!!
1. We are 1-7 in a division a team can win with possibly 8 wins.
2. We were picked to win by default because the other teams had "worse" QB's than ours.
3. We lost to a team that had 0 wins
4. We got thoroughly out-coached in 2 possibly 3 games

This season by far!!!!!!!!
2010, I was hoping for 4-12 in 2004, we knew it was going to be harsh. With all the "experts" were saying playoffs this year (I was always skeptical) it has been much harsher to digest cuz we expected a competitive team by now.
This year for sure. 2004 was a disaster waiting to happen. It's the difference between waking up on Christmas morning expecting presents only to receive none. Versus waking up on a random Tuesday knowing there won't be any presents.

You forgot to add , or reading polls like this in Niner talk .

I agree. We also knew 2004 was a rebuilding year. This year is definitely worse. Unless, of course, that Sing and Jed are proved right, and we're going to win the west.

Getting kicked in the balls is still worse. Over the past decade of dissapointments, I've taught myself to detach from this team.
