So this might not really warrant it's own thread, but I couldn't find a better place to put it.

I find alot of people blaming Anthony Davis for a holding penalty that wiped out Vernon's TD catch on 3rd and 22.

The penalty was unfortunate, but it wasn't on Anthony Davis it was called on Joe Staley.

I think the confusion comes from the fact that the announcers from the game were pretty much morons. They thought that the call was made against Davis. They then even broke down the replay focusing on Davis to highlight his penalty.

They missed the part when the ref clearly called the penalty on #74 and then failed to notice Hochuli staring at Joe Staley as his pulls out the flag on the replay.

I didn't realize folks were blaming Davis for that. I thought it was just his overall poor play. During the game the ref clearly said it was number 74, but it was the commentators that were blaming Anthony Davis. Then when they replayed the play they showed Anthony Davis instead of Staley.
