Why is John York making these comments? Even more telling is where is the Young Jedi York? Isn't he in control? Didn't the family go through GREAT LENGTHS two years ago to remove John York from the picture and insert Young Jedi York as the "new face of the franchise?" We never saw this with Eddie D. Jr. His daddy bought the team with real estate venture money -- but I don't remember DeBartolo Sr. ever ONCE commenting on the state of the franchise. Nope -- Eddie was sent out to take control and he did. He called all the shots. He made the final call on every decision. Daddy wasn't there in the background.

But with the Yorks? Who is really in charge? If Dingleberry really is safe, why isn't Jed saying this? Why John York? I thought he had been removed from all football operations -- right? Sorta? Kinda?

IF he was asked, then YES he needed to answer the question. I don't know the context in which the question was asked... BUT as mentioned before John is very involved in the NFL's international affairs. Based on that it's safe to assume the reason why he was being interviewed. IF this question was brought up in the course of an interview about the game in London that seems logical.

IF John defers the question to Jed, it would have been spun as him NOT having confidence in Singletary - John York IS THE OWNER. He answered the question the best way I think he could have... the way this reads he simply said "Mike is our coach" ... uh yeah. HE IS. JY doesn't say that he will be the coach even as soon as the interview ends. There is no actuall committment, however he didn't show a lack of committment either. Well Played Mr York... IMHO.
