So, basically people were rooting for a worse QB to be put in because they hate Smith so much? Did Smith run over these people's cat or something? Seriously. People would rather have a QB that gives the Niners a lesser chance of winning than one that gives them a better one?

These are probably the same fans that hope the Niners lose the rest of their games so they can draft #1 overall. That's Niner fans for you. They don't play to win the game, they play Madden.

If that is the case then there is a HUGE problem. David Carr is no great shakes but he has won games for the giants, last year. Now suddenly he sucks and Troy Smith is the man? Please

This gets to the core of one of the niners problem the head man on the field know nothing about offense. Because if he did he would know that Troy smiths lack of reps will limit the play book, no timing, no nohting
