I chanted for Carr during the Raiders game. I have been very vocal that I think Alex Smith is not a leader, cannot read defenses, and overall has had more chances than any other qb in the NFL. I think Smith SUCKS, Sucks, Sucks, I would rather cut smith today, promote Nate Davis and have Carr, Troy Smith and Davis as the QB's. They certainly could do no worse than Smith has over the past 6 years.
Smith rolls right, throws out of bounds, Smith panics and dumps it off to the rb. Heck yes I want Carr. Any qb who will at least push the ball down the field.
did you not see carr horribly underthrowing intermediate routes? how does that push the ball down the field? Carr is less than Smith, as sad as that is its the truth. i would rather an injured smith play than carr. Nate Davis? i would back that experiment for a game or two while smith lets his shoulder heal a little but it is obvious we DO NOT have any talent at qb on this team that is better than Smith.
I DISAGREE, I would rather cut Smith now, he has lost the team and the fans. Is Carr, Troy Smith or Nate Davis the answer, we will find out over the remaining 9 games. They can do NO WORSE than than Smith has over the past 6 seasons.
I actually think Nate Davis and Troy Smith have more talent than Smith and Carr. They can at least keep the play alive because they have more mobility, whereas Smith and Carr are sitting ducks.
And that's why you are a fan just like the rest of us, and not a coach

Lets give Carr a chance before we right him off. Lets let him start for a 5 or 6 years first and give him a chance.
This is going to be his 9th year in the league

I don't have the Link, but I did read somewhere that John Madden was more high on Nate Davis as a qb than Alex Smith. He bluntly said that Smith simply is not that good in game situations. I do not have the link, so take it for what its worth. But I stand behind what an ex NFL coach, broadcaster, and someone who has forgotten more football than any webzoner will know.
Smith is not the answer. Simply put.

Yah but this is a new system for him.
Thats great. But we both know if alex played against the texans the way carr played sunday, we wouldn't even be talking about either of them. They both suck, but carr sucks just a little bit more

No, but anyone chanting for Carr wasn't doing so because they actually thought he could do better. They just wanted to see anyone but Smith behind center.
