Kind of like the Browns situation when they moved to Baltimore. I would be happy with that! Restart the 49ers in a few years with Eddie D as the owner hopefully. Holy crap we agreed on something AGAIN!

This team will never be good. I became a fan 15 years too late.

They won't sell, if they move they're taking the name and everything with them. This franchise is done.

You're not worried the NFL may not look to expand and give us a new team if the 9ers move?
This all goes back to when Eddie D was finally cleared his b***h sister would not give him back control. They finally sued each other then settled out of court with whoredog getting the team. Eddie should have kept his nose clean then we would not be talking about this right now.

We should have never fired Mooch....I admit I was on the fire him bandwagon but n retrospect we were spolied fans and had a superbowl or bust menatlity and the reality is that our team wasn't that good(on defense). We should have stayed the course with Moochie...

How'd he do in Detroit? Do you think our ownership is any better? He would have had to deal with the same crap Erikson did. No talent to work with. He quit in the playoffs. We want winners and winners never quit!

Eddie D's success brought us the CAP which was meant to stop the stockpiling of players that the 49ers were famous for.

Another thing he'd have to struggle with is not having a Bill Walsh and Staff to build the team.

Not saying he wouldn't do better than the Yorks, but it's harder now to get on top and stay there like the 49ers did in the past.

a little quote from an article earlier this month on Eddie D

“I talk to a lot of league people and they’ve urged me to come back in. I’ve had a group for 10 years or so that would look at buying a franchise. I’m pursuing all different options and there are a number of teams that could possibly be for sale. I’m in open discussions with some. I don’t need to own 100 percent but I would be the managing general partner.”

The no-brainer choice would be to buy the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the early 2000s, he had people make inquiries with the Glazer family on his behalf but nothing ever materialized.

Would he ever return to the 49ers?

“I don’t think that would ever happen,” said DeBartolo. “That would have to be initiated by my sister’s family. There has been no discussion.”

Good coaches + Good QB = Good Team. The equation is simple, but the actually ability to pull it off is not. Otherwise every team would be good.

This offseason it starts with hiring a good proven coach and then drafting hopefully the franchise QB.

Fingers crossed
Wow, 10-6 used to be a bad year!

I think the Yorks are going to give Jed many years to play with the team. But Eddie D heading up a different team would suck. It's like Joe playing for the Chiefs.

If you take out the strike year, it's 16 straight seasons with 10 wins or more. Seifert never lost more than 6 games in a season, his entire time here. Man look at us now. So pathetic.
Yeah, I remember when I used to get angry when we "only" won 10 games. Wish I would have soaked the success up a little bit more back then.

Add that to the list of reasons why I f*cking despise the Yorks.

I don't think Mooch gets anything like the credit he deserves. With all the turmoil he had to deal with (losing Young and Rice, new ownership, rebuilding, stars who hated each other) he still only had two seasons that weren't successful winning seasons.

I mean, how much would you give to have his third worst record now?

agreed man. I felt when they dumped Mooch it was premature but I gave em the benefit of the doubt and thought well as long as they bring in someone better, a proven winner so to speak......The morons gave us Erickson. WTF????
