Can we leave those signatures in the 49ers Red Zone? Thanks.

As a karate expert, I will not suffer webzone signatures.

oh look at you and your pretty lil sig.
In the words of Bill Parcells, you are what your record says you are.
We need to win two road games to make up for our home losses. We also need to win out at home to go 8-8.

If we can win out at home and beat STL, SEA, or ARI (two of them) in their house, then we should be fine.

Many people are saying that the niners are not that good because of our record this year or our performance.....Well, here is some insight on to why our record is what it is
it's funny we outplayed NO ATL and PHI and lost by 3, 2, and 3 with Turnovers up the @ss. It shows how good we are WITH dumb turnovers.....a lot of other teams if they committed 5, 3, and 5 turnovers against those GREAT teams would of been blown out. Great teams don't commit stupid errors BUT when you have all the talent we have and have bad luck of bounces....you are still a good team with a bad record. This is what the niners are. We all Know we outplayed the saints, atl PHI Oak even Philly (3 possessions INSIDE their 5 yard line......outgained them in yards, just so unfortunate tip int's and miscommunication on a pass). So Although we are 1-5, we are a good team with an average qb, below average line and every part of our team is very good if not great.

great rb's good wr's great lb's very good secondary, good DL, we are a team if we stop GIVING away turnovers (especially unforced errors, we will win so many games as we would of with Atl, NO and PHI especially. We crushed the Oak outgaining them 2 to 1 WITH bad calls and 150 yards in penalties...that my friends is a very good team to still win with all of that going against us.

Just a thought and before people say how the niners are bad, consider how you are making that statement or judgment before you first speak.

It's a valid point save for the fact that this is a losing culture and finding new and creative ways to lose each week, each year is and has become an epidemic. The "faithful" only have faith in KNOWING we will find a way to lose. If it's not the offense, it's the defense or the ST's or the coaching or the game plan or (usually, all of the above). We WILL find a way to lose. Are we a bad team? On paper, no but as a TEAM, yes, we ARE bad unless you count moral victories, of course.
This team has no discipline whatsoever, from top to bottom.

That's pretty much always the case on every team.

Great point though. (sarcasm)

Please see my post on the subject. Football outsiders has identified us as one of the most underperforming team in the NFL -- turnovers included (i.e. we should be 3-3 even with the turnovers we've committed).

If we practice the level of ball control we did last year, we'll finish with 8 wins. We are also only recovering 1 out of every 5 fumbles (1/4 on forced fumbles) -- a statistical anomaly that will not last.

We never capitalize on situations where we could take bigger leads.

The turnovers have put us in a poor position. I wouldn't say it was a 'failure to finish' against the Saints when we were MINUS 4 in turnovers. We were also MINUS 4 against Philly. We fumbled away the game-winning pick vs. Atlanta.

Interceptions are a part of the game when you are trying to push the ball down field (like a 50-yard Smith pass that was picked off vs. Philly) -- but fumbles are inexcusable. Passes get tipped, etc.
While I hope we do, it is realy over-rated to make the playoffs this year. What is the difference between not making the playoffs and making them but losing the first game? Not much.

Given the team's youth and because we are developing so many youngsters, I have not felt we were going to be SB-ready this year. It is important that the team gains experience playing together and learns to play better on a more consistent basis. Each game is a chance to mature and grow up - to play more like a veteran team.

i dont think your stating anything thats a surprise to anyone but i like this post. singletary said we are the best team we've faced all year. i dont think theres a better way to say that. we should be 4-2 right now. the problem is we play up to good teams and get manhandled by s**tty teams. the raiders game shouldnt have been close. the chiefs game was a fast team vs a slow team and thats one of our biggest problems and seattle was a horribly prepared team vs a team that came to play. the 49ers are the biggest enigma in the whole league. nobody knows what team will show up. we have more talent than more than 2/3 of the league but are horribly inconsistent and thats what drives us all crazy

3-3 is probably what we should be. 2 of those 3 mistake-riddled games should be 'Ws'. Atlanta outplayed us -- our blocked punt for a TD is canceled out by Clements' fumble.

Unfortunately, it is the same stuff from a season ago. We didn't make the playoffs last year because of it and it seems our fate will be the same in 2010.

Fumbled away the Seattle game...

I happen to agree with your observations. Now the great question for this sunday is can we beat a team we should clearly beat? Then if we can start to look consistent and efficent then I will have hope that we are beginning to learn how to play consistent football. This game we clearly need to win, but we need to win efficiently. It is the efficiency that we need to win with. Reduce our mistakes, no turnovers, and consistent methodical play.

I would like to see us up by about 24-3 by halftime, and then I would say we are on our way to consistent, methodical, efficient football.
