I'm sure Sing has handcuffed the offensive coaching staff, it appears they are carrying out his vision for the offense, Sing needs to allow Johnson and Rathman to have more say in what type of attack we will have, it doesnt make sense for a defensive minded coach to dominate the offensive game plan, and it shows on the field every week
Did you hear the post game comment from Singletary where he wanted to offense to practice as if they are playing for the kick? In other words, take no chances & punt rather than risk any turnovers.
If the Raiders didn't turn over the ball themselves a few times, this play "for the kick" offense would not be enough to win.
LOL, Sing said he wanted every possession to end with a kick, whether thats a punt, FG or kicking the extra point, in other words NO TURNOVERS.
Nothing in there about not taking chances just be smart with the ball and dont turn it over
LOL
Last week, Smith had vowed to play more fearlessly and to throw caution to the wind. That approach, however, was heavily muted as it became clear the game would be more of a defensive battle. In fact, the rallying cry was far different: Just don't commit a turnover ...
"One of the things we said going into the game was that we wanted to make sure that every possession we had offensively - that we wanted it to end with a kick. And that's something I really wanted to stress, and I think Alex got it, and that was big for him today, big for our offense."
