Ziegler apparently runs great routes and we've all witnessed his great hands. Give the mutherf**ker a chance!!!!!! Morgan blows.

Do you think he wasn't trying to run his fastest? Every QB has WR's with different speeds and adjust the throws. Our guy keeps over throwing or underthrowing making every deep throw to a WR a "catchable but difficult" catch.

But we don't expect our QB to make an accurate tight throw, even once.

That being said...A WR does get paid to catch the ball, so even if he has to adjust to it, if it hits him in the hands it should be caught right?

Morgan has been disappointing this season. Not finishing routes, missing blocks on running plays that lead to fumbles. I agree I was yelling at the TV to put Zeigler in for Morgan because IMO Zeigler would've caught that ball which I would guess would be a lot of ZONERS opinions on that play.

I definitely agree, Ziggy needs to play. I think he makes that play on his speed and reliability.
I have seen the play over and over... slow motion and all. It was on Morgan's fingertips, and his arms were not fully extended. Why is it that we see Morgan show his "hops" on 10 yard curl routes when he need not jump at all, yet he won't get any air under him for a pass off his fingertips?

Sorry, Joe... the pass was on the money. Morgan just showed us lazy, 6th round receiver effort on the play.
I saw that play again today on my DVR, and you can see the defender has his arm on Morgans right arm just enough to hold him back from stretching out and make the catch.

No, I'm sure a faster WR makes that play but, as with the turnovers being the root cause for our losses, I think we need to look at the root cause of these "missed" deep balls to receivers.

When it happens too many times, I think it's the QB's fault for making average plays difficult than it is for a Receiver for not making a great play on a not so good throw.

Joe, did you even see the play?

Cmon now bro, I'll agree that smith hasn't been too accurate this year with his deep balls, but that pass was 40-50 yards in Josh Morgans hands. No excuse for dropping that ball. He didn't even have to lay out or nothing, it literally hit his hands and popped out, very embarrassin that he can't make a simple catch lol

I don't know, it didn't appear to hit his hands. Sheesh, now I'm going to have to take another look.

Anyone have a quick video of only that play and post it here? Now I have to wait till I get home and watch it.

Maybe u should watch the play before posting nonsense. The throw was on the money.

That's not gonna work for you on this play, Joe. The defender had excellent coverage on Morgan's back. The ball was placed in the ONLY spot possible to allow for the catch. Morgan just screwed up by not stretching fully out, or he could have given any effort to go up for it. There was zero room for error and the ball is perfect. I have it on pause right now as I stare at it.

I gotta see it again. You could be right. I still stand behind my statement if you take the whole sample.

Hey! I said he had a good game!

But it did bring out some other thongs he needs to work on that have been overlooked by the major bad play stuff. Now its time to improve and build on which is something I still need to see him do yet.

This was what I thought the moment it happened. And the Smith hat... would say he overthrew it.

Say it with me now you ha... types.

If it's CATCHABLE it's catchable. It's the Receivers job to make the play at that point.

With me? Good.

Now until the final moment of Smith's career, I want you guys to repeat that to yourselves everytime you see one of those "close" overthrows or underthrows land near a Receiver.

Morgan is not great but he should have had that. Marvin Harrison made his career by catching Passes that looked EXACTLY like that.

Oh and one other thing, if Receivers catch more Passes, it gives the QB the confidence to throw more in that area or to them.
