screw both them, Lawson and Goldson, both are overrated. Both can leave for all I care.

Goldson can go but I think letting Lawson go would be a huge mistake.

This.
Lawson is a beast, and is playing great!

I'd like him and Ginn as MUSTs! Goldson would be nice, but it needs to be a fair contract for us!
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Sunday that the 49ers are likely to put a claim on Merriman when the San Diego Chargers waive the three-time Pro Bowler at outside linebacker. The Chargers put Merriman on the injured reserve list Wednesday with a calf-injury and a "minor injury" designation. He will be released when he is healthy.

If I had to pick, Haralson is the odd man out.

I'm just wondering where Schefter is getting his info from.

I agree but he seems to play more snaps than Brooks and LaBoy combined. I'm wondering if they would actually make that move?

Schefter is usually on point, I hope something develops and Merriman can ressurect his carreer. I think he would open things up for the front 7, no doubt.
I would take Lawson over Goldson at this point.
So some of you geniuses want to get rid of the guy leading the team in sacks, for a washed up steroid pusher? Good God...
at this point only lawson should be signed

i think RJF next year> franklin
reggie smith > goldson especially as coverage FS
Brooks is signed for another season. I say let Goldson, Lawson walk...on the fencepost w/Alex. Just when I'm ready to throw in the towel, he makes some nice TD throws. I see Mays and Reggie Smith as our S next year. Nate's actually had a pretty decent season so far, save his pick return snafu. He'll either need to restructure his contract or probably get cut. I want to see Phillip Adams more...Brown's largely stunk it up so far this year. CB needs to be a draft priority, for sure. Baas is worth keeping because he's played pretty well at C...and gives us a good option there. On the fencepost w/Rachal, too. I like Snyder a lot better at RG. I'd also let Franklin walk...he's nowhere near worth the $7M they're paying him this season. He can say what he wants, but he's fallen off quite a bit from last season. More RJF!!
