Since the Sing firing is all but confirmed pending season's end, I think we can now legitimately address the names floating around, regarding our future HC.
The myth:
Gruden will fix our offensive woes
Fact:
-Gruden has taken on the GM role and been a below avg, if not downright bad drafter
-Gruden's teams have been mediocre for a long time
-Gruden has failed to find a legitimate QB fir the bucks, and went through a worse rotation than the niners now have.
-Gruden either didn't realize the importance of a QB, or failed to identify a good one, when given several chances to do so.
-Gruden also passed in Aaron Rodgers for a top 5 bust...Cadillac Williams? Great move!
-Gruden won a SB with a team he inherited--fully stacked
-Gruden's teams have had great defenses. Caveat? He inherited maybe the best DC of all time
-Gruden was FIRED for underperforming
-Many teams passed him over in their coaching searches. Says something?
Now before people start getting outraged, keep in mind that I fully recognize his accomplishments as well. But let's keep him in perspective.
