Experts still picking us..

do we still deserved to be picked?? lol

ESPN still favoring us BIG over DAA Raiiiderrrsss..

I would think after 0-5, and dissapointing week in week out they would just start to pick against us.. I guess its NOT just the team and the fans that expect us to turn it around and they KNOW we are better than how we are playing..

This is purely a reflection of how bad our division is, not how good they think we really are.
Experts were originally predicting we'd win between 9-10 games and take the division. Now there's talk that we'll be the first team to win 7 games and the division which I highly doubt.

We have zero momentum and no answers to our problems. How can they possibly predict even one win much less a division championship?

The raiders look more like an NFL team than we do. They deserve to be favored.

If you were an objective, non-emotional analyzer, you can see that we are not that bad. Our opponents combined record is 15 wins and 8 losses. So we were playing better than average opponents. Our passing yards are 11th in the league, and our total offensive yards are 19th. Our defense is worse, being 20th on defensive yards allowed, and 24th on defensive passing yards. We really suck on turnover ratio - dead last, and that, my friends, is the main reason for our plight. Fumbles and INTs on Offense, and lack thereof on defense.

Well. Here is a breakdown of our problems so far.

1. The team seems to be unorganized and in disarray. They make mistakes all over the field at crucial times of the game.

2. The defense is as inconsistant as the offense. What happened to the "top 5" defense they were touting?

3. The oline is not protecting the QB. (41 pressuresis most in the league)

4. Alex Smith shows flashes of being a very productive QB but is inconsistant with is play and accuracy. Oline is not helping his situation.

5. Frank Gore is getting stuffed in the middle and created 2 turnovers due to fumbles in the last game.

6. The coaching has come off as terrible this season. This will result in mistakes during the game and players leaving the team.

I'm not picking the niners the west until they can show they can stop making stupid mistakes play to their talent level. I believe this team is talented enough to be dominate in this league, but the coaching needs to improve drastically. Take Chilo out of the game. Pull Smith out of the game so Carr can go in and get sacked 5 times a game.

Singletary's philosophy is horse sh*t. You can't go around saying you are power run team and thats who they are. When the power run fails, you can't just blame the players for not executing. Even worse, you can't keep doing it every week like a stubborn mule until you have to fire your coordinator. This is a league of adjustments and creative playcalling. They were missing something weren't they. Mike Johnson seems to have better results. I'm happy on that front.

What's up with the defense? Someone break that down for me.

The Raiders look horrible for the most part. Aside from McFadden they are nothing and McFadden hasn't been consistent either. They lucked into their wins against two teams not playing very well.

They barely beat the Rams in Oakland, in Bradford's second ever game, scoring only one TD and barely breaking 300 yards of total offense against THAT defense.

Then last week they lucked into a win blocking two punts, one for a safety the other for a TD, and returning a fluke fumble for a TD. 16 points on plays that almost never happen in the NFL. All the while allowing Rivers to throw for over 400 yards.

I don't see how they look like more of an NFL team than we do. Neither of their wins are as impressive as our last two losses (or the loss to the Saints). As funny as that sounds.

In my mind we are so very close ------ we just need to end the mistakes and turnovers and maybe even get some take aways from our opponents.
