Norcal, thanks for sharing. I can guarantee there are players on this team like TKO that are heart broken. It seems so foolish for us fans and the players to be upset about a game but it's their life just like it's a lot of our lives as well. A lot of people live for football. On the other hand I bet their are players out there who hit the club and go party like they could care less. Some players are just out to collect paychecks. It's the front office's job to determine who they are if that's the type of team we want. Some teams don't care as long as you produce while others want players who care and have a passion for the game.

I thought it was a bit strange that Takeo was wearing a Braves cap after the game while being interviewed by Radnich.
Why? Spikes was born in Georgia.
He plays for the San Francisco 49ers. He should therefore automatically transform to a Giants fan.
It is just as disgusting when Montana sports anything Steeler related.
oh please... they're two completely different sports.
this guy is a joke
Cortez? I know

I'm writing this just to share my observations and my general opinion about what I saw. You make what you want of it.
My family and I stayed at the Marriott where the 49ers stay at on Sunday night. We checked in kind of late so I missed when the 49ers arrived, but I did see a couple of players hanging out with their families for a late dinner.
I sat at a table about 5 ft from Takeo Spikes and his family. His family was extremely quiet and laid back in general, but you could tell he was pretty upset. I saw him look up at the highlights of the game on the TV that was in front of us several times and he would just shake his head or put his head down in disbelief. We didn't want to interrupt them cause they were having dinner, but I did go up to him when he was getting up to leave.
He was extremely nice, got up right away and shook our hands. I told him how I loved the attitude he brought to our team, told him I appreciated his leadership, and just told him to tell the guys to keep their heads up and keep fighting. He was pretty receptive of my opinion and appreciated the comments. We then asked for a picture and he accepted with a smile. He even autographed a football we happened to have been carrying with us.What really surprised me is that his entire family got up afterward and thanked us for approaching him. You could tell the guy was pretty down and his family was trying to cheer him up.
On the other side of where we sat was Tarell Brown with what seemed to be his parents and a friend or sibling. The guy also looked really beat up and just upset in general. He walked outside at the same time we were getting up so I didn't get a chance to talk to him, but I did pretend I was getting a phone call and walked out behind him.I overheard his dad talking to him while waiting for their car and he was telling him to basically cheer up and get over it. He even raised his voice and was reprimanding him because Tarell wanted to go out to a club or something like that???
I write this for a couple of reasons. First, its pretty cool to see the human side of these pro athletes and understand that they have emotions too. There have been rumors about this team giving up or not caring anymore, but seeing their frustrations and emotions shows me otherwise. Having said that, I also worry about how long these guys are going to continue fighting to win??
Thoughts??
Umm yeaaa, those werent his parents, more than likely an uncle or close family member. Being the one repping #25 this season wearing the 25 jersey, with him being from texas i read his life story.. And ya both of his parents died, its a crazy story might be why the guy is quiet and humble if you approach him. His mom was murdered in the back alley of their house when he was 10, and his father died of a heart attack the day before the NFL Combine.
Might want to read it, http://articles.sfgate.com/2007-07-10/sports/17252036_1_robert-brown-brown-s-case-honor-roll
Crazy life for the guy, he has stepped up considering where he has come from, but he does need to further overcome adversity and truly shine.
Wow. Pretty sad life story for this kid. Thanks for clearing this up. Notice I did mention that I wasn't sure if they were or not.
thx guys for the story/pic and for link on t. brown
this is really inspirational....
thanks for not copying and pasting the same post for the 30th time
i'm not mad anymore... after hump day i'm usually over it and on to the next game. as a matter of fact, i'm about 99.9% sure that we're gonna nail us some raiderettes
