If we go with Carr now, would we have a Titan like Return of V Young turnaround?

Troy Smith would be the better option, he looked far better in preseason than even David Carr (and this was a guy who was 3rd string on a quality team that was cut to make extended roster room). Carr is trash, and his helmet is embarrassing.

Yes his helmet is ugly. More like a defenders helmet or something...

Can Smith be our Kerry Collins and Carr be our Vince Young to breath new life into us?
If we did go Carr next week and he tears it up and we win... can we be poised to be the Tenessee Titans of last year? They went like 0-6 but started tearing it up after the bye.
Oh wait... We don't have Jeff Fisher...
Still thought... the fact of the matter is... as the Titans showed us last year by losing their first 6 then ending up at 8-8... its not over till its over.... Especially in our "weak" division I wouldn't count us out just yet. We aren't dead... maybe just on life support.
Kerry Collins had success with the Panters and then the Giants. With multiple playoff wins and appearances.
Carr....nothing....

Have you seen Carr play the game? He is like a statue.

I would rather try Davis, but giving Carr a chance won't hurt. What can we lose? We already can't win.

It's not that we think he's good we just think he'll f**k up less than Alex Smith. Seriously.
He may not throw more ints, but he'd get sacked every play.

no way. There is a statistic that teams with a constant starter at QB through 16 games have a very good chance of making it to the playoffs

What's the stat when the team has a suck-ass QB that starts all 16 games??

All I'm sayin is if we think we have anything remotely close to Hakeem Nicks in Crabtree... then look what Carr can do...

Atleast then we can punt and make it easier on the defense. Sorry man but I'm done with Smith period. I've supported him since 2006 and he keeps letting this team down and it's time for him to gtfo. This is ridiculous. I'm not going to be PISSED if he starts the Philly game but at the half if he's not playing well he needs to sit, and after he's benched he needs to never wear a 9ers jersey again EVER.
