Why is Frank takine 99% of all plays?

I know it is sacrilege to even ask this, but some time NFL running backs are only really productive for 6-7 years. There is a long list of guys, Priest Holmes, Terill Davis, Larry Johnson, and many more who dominate, then burn out.

Coaches like Nolan and Singletary wear these guys down to the nub, run them into the ground.

When Frank used to blast through the line, I was always waiting to see the first DB get blown up, now he never makes it past the LBs. Holes are there, he just doesn't seem to get to them and through them fast enough anymore.

Frank rarely turns the corner on sweeps anymore.
Frank no longer trucks DB's, they take him down one on one.
Frank gets caught in the backfield
Frank goes down to ankle tackles
Frank slips and falls when he tries to change directions

I said it back when Nolan was running everything through Frank, we need to rest him or he will have a short career. Now we need to rest him because he is at the end of his career.

Frank has some good games left in his career, but isn't good enough to demand 30 touches a game.
No, I don't believe he's done, but we definitley have to use other options. This Frank Gore up the middle, around the side, throw a screen pass, split him out wide needs to stop.
holy s**t seriously? just look at the 'push' our OL gets vs the opposition OL

our OL always gets stacked up at the line or pushed back, linebackers are always free to shoot the gaps and hit Gore at the line. Gore never had the speed to run sweeps, but he can definitely get outside the tackles if only we angled our blocks and got people moving side to side instead of just pushing straight ahead and not getting defenses to move their feet one way and have to react to Gore cutting another way

opposing OL is always 3 yards down the field and wiping out our linebackers...just look how much east-west movement they get blocking our DL
No, but after his second fumble last night, he should've been benched. He didn't look good out there and we had Westbrook just itching to get out there against his old team. Especially when we switch to a pass-heavy attack, Westbrook should get the nod. He's better in the passing game.

Look at gore slow to the hole, look at gore tackled for a short gain when he used to blow up line backers and safeties, I like frank, but he aint the tank anymore!

Limit his touches, bring in Dixon and Westbrook, keep gore fresh, extend his career, or run him further into the ground?

All the 8 man boxes he's facing are going to wear him down.

We didn't get 8 in the box very often this week, or last week, other teams are not afraid of Frank anymore.

seriously what holes? just look at the goddamn huge pile of bodies stacked up at the LOS or in our backfield, where the f**k is he supposed to run when the play is designed to go straight up the middle
What an idiotic question. Does anyone on this site have a brain. Gore's done, It wasn't Alex fault, and defense is THE problem.here is a promise for u. Next year, Gore and most of the defense will be back...Alice will not.

You obviously weren't paying attention to Quintin Mikell. A ton on first and second down he was creeping up in the box.

Safeties aren't afraid of Alex Smith.

When we replace Alex , we better replace this OL 2 .
He and the rest of the offense are paying the price for rookie linemen not playing well yet. The line has raw talent, but they make stupid mistakes, as rookies sometimes do.

Oh no the defense is pretty awful, we can't pressure anyone! I just think Gore is no longer the kind of guy who demands 30 touches, he is no longer good enough to carry a team, he is still quite good, just no longer elite. 6 years is a long time to be the "Bell Cow" back!

Still love me some Frank, but not like back in the day!
