7.5 from Aldon at this point of the season is amazing. Especially when you consider that he doesn't even start.

It is impressive...he comes in fresh...but would like to see him used even more; coverage is a non-issue in our scheme. He just has to occupy a space for a second or two before passing off to the next guy. Diagnosing the run game, screens, edge rushes, etc. are what he really needs to continue to learn; along with leverage, working against double-teams, great LT's, bull rushing, etc. Although his sack numbers have dropped off, his overall game is actually progressing.

Excellent observation. (As usual.)

I don't know if Fangio still hasn't gotten his entire scheme installed, or if he's holding some things back (blitz packages), but even with four or three man rush, we still get alot of pressure, even if we don't get the sacks.

Arizona was a good example (I'd like to just ignore Baltimore), as Skelton wasn't sacked alot (2x), but threw alot of INC and INT because pressure made him get the ball out quickly.

13 ppg. Man, that is a tough defense.

LMAO at these idiotic radio hosts on 95.7 the game saying our defense hasnt faced a legit rb, i swear 95.7 are raiders homers

I've heard the experts say that the record numbers being put up by offenses is due to defense's being behind due to the lockout. If that theory is to be believed that means that this 49ers defense can be much MUCH better.
