Drew Bress didn't beat us, we beat ourselves with 4 turnovers and really the safety could be considered a 5th.

We slowed him down. I wouldn't say we stopped him.

Gore had 112 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 7 receptions, receiving yards, and 1 receiving TD.

We're so used to seeing Alex stinking it up on a weekly basis that we label any opposing QB as a failure if he doesnt have more passing yards than Smith.

The reality:

Brees did not turn the ball over.

Brees took advantage of OUR turnovers by putting points on the board.

Brees led the game winning drive in less than 90 seconds.

Brees showed poise on a windy day in a filled stadium with a raucous crowd celebrating one of the GOAT players, and still didnt seem phased.

Yet, half the posters in this thread said "yes". Why ? Cause Alex Smith had more passing yards than him.
