I think the Falcons game at their place will be tough. I really think this is the year the Niners get the Eagles. They have problems with the o-line (they are being helped tremendously by Vick's play) and their D looks suspect. Niners take them at home.

Not if we keep playing dumb football with 4 turnovers, wasting timeouts, and managing the clock poorly. That kind of brain-dead football will lead to 20 point losses on the road. Especially at KC and ATL.

5 in a row is plenty difficult but 3 & 2 is very doable and that would put us in good position for the London game, we win that one and we go 4 & 4 to the bye. Not bad at all..

Yes
That said; no I don't think so unless there is a HUGE change in away game performances. So far nothing has led me to believe that is going to happen anytime soon. I hope it does though. IF you can't win away, your team is a footnote in mediocrity. GO NINERS!!

This team showed alot of heart not giving up after dumbass Baas cost us a S and field position which led to a TD early. Instead they stayed focused, determined and they executed on both sides of the ball.
After alot of thinking and nearly jumping off a bridge after the Saints loss realizing this team is now 0-2 I have come to my senses webzone.
THIS TEAM IS FOR REAL AND WILL PROVE IT THIS SEASON
Here's why:
The Defense is coming into it's own, ranked 4th right now I believe they will remain top 5 all season. Patrick Willis IS the best Defensive player regardless of position in football period.
The rest of the LB core is awesome and the DL is awesome. Our DB will grow and will get us by for the rest of the year. This is an elite defense that will only get better.
The OL is finally IMO fixed the rookies are beasts period. Staley is very good and Baas has looked good at C and I respect Heitman.
Gore is an elite RB, Davis is an elite TE and we have a very good WR core and Crabtree's potential hasn't even been tapped yet.
The ST will get better as the young guys like Mays/Bowman/Adams/Dixon/Byham etc get better in their roles. We also really need K.Williams/T.Ginn back to return kicks/punts and the ST will be fine.
We are going to go into KC and absolutely crush the Chiefs they are the worst 2-0 team and they are very lucky to be there because there O sucks point blank they will not run or throw on us and we will get TO's. Win #1
This team is going to go crazy against the Falcons. Remember last year? Patrick Willis remembers too they crush the Falcons. Win #2
The Eagles, lack veteran prescence the OL sucks and the D really sucks. We win this one in a close game F M.Vick. Win #3
Raiders/Panthers I'm not explaining we win these games easily. Wins 4,5
PUT IT IN THE FREAKING BANK
Man I hope your right. If we won at least 4 out of the next five I would be jumping for joy

This is how we win:
Chiefs D
It all start and ends with the O-line. We should be focused on establishing the running game early on. If Frank manage good chunks of yardage every play like he did in the Saints game that will definitely open up the passing game for Smith. It is also IMPERATIVE that we do not commit turnovers. As we saw from the past two football games the Chiefs thrive off turnovers and big plays by the D. If we play smart football we should come away with a win.
Chiefs O
The strong point in the chiefs offense is obviously their running game. Jamal Charles and Thomas Jones provide 60% of the Chiefs offense in the past to games so it will be a top priority of ours to stop the run game and make the Chiefs put the game on Cassel's shoulders. Cassel is not to be underestimated so we should keep their recievers in check.
Chiefs Special Teams
Obviously Dexter McCluster is the one player that jumps out at you in that catergory for his 94-yard TD return for a TD against San Diego. I think Andy Lee will look to put more hang time on his punts than distance. I would rather give them decent field position than give McCluster an opportunity to return a punt.
In conclusion
It all starts with the o-line so the niners must run the ball effectively against a good Chiefs D(that really has not been tested in that area). If the running game is solid then Alex should be able to get something going in the passing game. Our D should do a good job of stopping the run witch in turn, will force Matt Cassel to throw a little bit more than he would like to. Andy Lee Must give the guys running down the field to make the tackle an advantage against a speedy Dexter McCluster that could break one open if given room. He must focus on the height of his punts and not the distance.
Bottom line
The Chiefs thrive off big plays so it is important that we don't commit turnovers.

I agree. I don't know if we win five straight, but I could see four out of the next five. That would put us at 4-3, and in this division, anything over .500 these days points towards a playoff berth.

Every time Alex Smith looks like he finally gets it, he lays an egg in the next game. I hope things are different this time.

I just don't see the Falcons game as a win , I would love to see it. It all comes down to mistakes and turnovers and those are unpredictable with this team so far.
