Fast playcalling made a huge difference. Great blocking.

A lot of positive to take from this game. Alex played great, finally! Giving him the playcalls so fast that he had enough time to check the defense and make changes.
That in my opinion will be the gratest thing that will happen to the 49ers this year and beyond.

I feel confident that we will be great and hopefully meet in the playoffs again vs. the Saints.

Also, the OL played the best game I've seen the OL play in YEARS! Actually I can't even remember when it was the last time the 49ers OL played so great against the pass and run.

Hell. It made a big difference when they are set already they have like 10 seconds left. He can actually scan the field take in whats happening. He even faked them a couple of times to see if there is a blitz coming.

They should have done the wristband in the Nolan years.
Great game I loved it in the moment, but now it makes me think of the Colts, and Viking games last season, if we are ever going to be taken seriously we need to WIN these games, I'm sick! This lose of a very winnable game is unacceptable! We have the talent, what is holding us back....

A lot of things to like indeed, and yeah our O-line was impresive today, not just their play but the way they were taking defenders of our guys after the play was over, i saw Anthony Davis pushing guys all over the place tonight i think he is going to be special, Alex played really well and those fast play calls did made all the diference, i saw him make plays i have never seen him make before..but the biggest improvement i saw today was not from any single player but our old OC, i think he called a great game with the exception of a call or two, things to improve besides the fumbles? Game managment!! we are really bad at using our timeouts... all in all, if we win next week this game is going to be great for us, if we loose its going to hunt us for the rest of the year,
I loved seeing Alex at the line with at times 10-13 seconds on the clock, loved it.

Now the big question is WILL they continue to let Alex operate this way?

and WHY they hell didnt ALEX and the QBs coach demand this last year?
It was great to see the coaches getting plays in early enough to help Smith look over the defense ....... and it seemed to help the OL and the QB.
Good thread.

Good OL.

AD and MI gonna pound meat.

I think this was the first time Alex ever wore the plays on his wrist, at any level. But it sure did make things go smoother. Big improvement.

It is obvious that they should give Alex more power to run the offense all by himself......he doesn't need help from Raye to operate out of the gun in the spread.

The offense is drastically more efficient when he runs a 2:00 drill and calls his own plays.

He's getting better at diagnosing blitzes too....he's anticipating them better and finding open guys in vacated spots.
the offense was night and day between this game and last week.

i thought the playcalling was not only more efficient, but was more effective. there were some great calls in the second half.

and the oline was really phenomenal.

we just gotta keep doing it, we have to do it on the road, and we have to do it even more efficiently. but there were a lot of positives in this game offensively.
