Irvin was the Cowboys 3rd best player. Rice was always 1st or 2nd. Does Irvin have an MVP? No. Does Irvin have the TD record? No. Did Irvin set the single season TD record in a short season? No.

Yeah, that was a pretty stupid thing to say. Bayless is a moron anyways.

Meh....skip bayless just says stupid controversial things to get a rise out of people. Let's just say I'm glad he's not our GM.

I hear folks make that point that they would take Irvin b/c he was more of a leader. Plus isn't he from TX so of course he's gonna be bias. Your reaction is the reason why he remains on tv. Just pay the clown no attention. Everybody has opinions.

I saw that but Skip is a huge Cowboy homer so it really didn't shock me. The thing that got me going was him stating that Jerry never was the man in a big game. I mean he was a Super Bowl MVP. Not sure what qualifies as a big game to Skip.

Bayless is a Cowboys fan. He was born in Oaklahoma and covered the Cowboys for 17 years. He took a job with the Mercury just to hate on the 49ers during the late 90's.
His statement isn't surprising.

Skippy has always loved the plowboys and talked down the 9ers. You have to admit, his timing is perfect. I had forgotten he existed.

He was a great leader for that team, and Jerry really never had to be a leader.

Really Skip?
You would rather have a crack head as a leader?
He was a leader on that team? With Aikman, Smith, Allen?
Might have been an emotional demagogue, but nothing more.
