While Singletary isn't perfect I really do think that most of you are overreacting based off ONE game. Now come week six and we're still getting our asses handed to us then it's time to hit the panic button. Not so much right at the moment.

Fact is, that Singletary has improved this team since becoming coach. And he got us to 8-8 last year which speaking to the recent history of the Niners, is a huge improvement. Am I saying that we should just be happy with going .500?

Of course not.

I'm just pointing out that progress comes in steps. Save a few anomalies, no team goes from 5-11, 6-10, etc then makes a quantum leap into the Super Bowl.

It just does not work that way.

He's just barely into his second FULL season as head coach. Get a grip.

Last year: we will make the playoffs
last year: we'll see the vikings in the playoffs
this year: there was a problem with our headsets
this year: alex smith is a good QB
this year and last year: Jimmy Raye is a good OC
this year: there's a rat and that never happened, then he gets asked by Odonnel if it's true and he's like "I WANT TO MOVE FOARWARD!11"
this year: we will beat the saints(could turn out to be true but not likely)

So far he sounds like he just loves to hear himself friggin talk

So you don't think sing has been exposed over the last season and 1st game this season? The niners had this problem last year and it was out in ful force game 1 of this season. He still a poor game manager, still makes bad decisions, and still doesn't have any idea od the x's and o's of the offensive system the niners run, so he can't step in and fix it. All he can do about it is raise his voice and hope it deflects from the fact that he was never even a coordinator in the NFL and hasn't called a play. Great LB coach though.

I have a lengthy thread on this already, "I never thot i'd say this but...bigmike(BM) and JR aren't smart enough to be HC and OC, nor can they think fast enough on their feet, hence, they never get plays in on time." And then some they get in , you wish they hadnt'. After BMs BM on that ESPN video of him blaming a rat for grousing about how slow the OC and HC were getting plays in, he is just trying to divert blame away from himself, which is the essence of stupidity. He really thinks we are so stupid to believe that probably the whole team thot that, and some reporter overheard them? That smacks of BM thinking we are just total idiots and that blame game will absolve his failures. He is becoming faster and faster, just like his mentor, lil mikeynoln. Now there's a real guy to learn the game from when you have had no experience coaching TEs, WRs, QBs, RBs, OLs, DLs, DBs, nor OC , nor DC, and certainly not HC. And add in his mentor and you have....LOSER.

Right now, after the MNF game would be a good time to fire him. We should have fired noln after 2nd game and didn't, and it went downhill from there. (okay, game 3). Whatever, every moment from here on out, BM has been exposed as the coach who has no training, no creds for the job. He has a great career, I loved him as LB, and have always admired him as motivational speaker and a stand up guy. Anymore of this and he is going to ruin the good rep he spent yrs building. Every game now he is going to be taking away from that rep. Were i in BMs shoes, i would consider that carefully, gracefully step down with JR after MNF, and preserve his good name and reputation. Right now he is desperate, and you don't like to see your heroes like that.

Please, BM, give it up, before you look like a total buffoon. You don't have the experience it takes for this job, and if you think we haven't noticed , think again. Oh, yeah, and no more amateurish blame game video interviews. It fools no one , and really detracts from your good guy image, which you are rapidly destroying.
