but you say this kind of thing every season Valrod. Don't you understand by now that the Shaun Hills and David Carrs of the world is not much of a downgrade from Alex Smith. And ultimately we would have been better off handing the keys over to a backup years ago so the Franchise can begin to look for another starter.
It was the right thing to do then and it is still the right thing to do now.
Your argument about "what and let xxxx be the QB"...truly is invalrod
After the first game of the year you guys want to give the ball to whoever after 1 game THIS year.
Yes i am an Alex lover but i realize that this is his last year and yesterdays performance doesnt help his cause but Im not bailing on this team or Alex after 1 game(im not saying you are bailing, just talking about me personally) but im not giving up on him this year.
If a couple of things were done differently yesterday then we are talking about how we smashed the Seahawks and yes some of that is on Alex and some is on the coaching staff and the o line and everybody else . The entire team f**ked up yesterday.
They say this is supposed to be a new Alex this year well lets see how this "new" Alex handles this.
I still feel we have the best team in the Division and we will still make the playoffs.
Even if Alex plays mediocre all season and doesnt show any real improvement and we still make the playoffs, thats a good thing.
The other players will get the playoff experience and then maybe the FO will realize how close we are and bring in a veteran next year as well as addressing the QB position in the draft.
Obviously I want Smith to have a breakout year and become the QB we drafted him to be but if he fails we are not in bad situation next year if the team decides to move on from Alex
I rambled on there and not even sure if this makes sense but i dont feel like going over what i typed
