Couldn't agree more. But when someone would mention that here, "Who needs a washed up McNabb. Hes a choke artist" McNabb is 100X better than smith. For some reason, people here don't want to believe that.

As an NFL coach, you're a product of what your players do for you on the field. Singeltary has anywhere from 4 to 6 probowlers on his roster. He does have a contender when it comes to the Niners. All that can be nullified if Smith continues to stink it up.

The 9ers haven't had a big league coach since they fired Seifert. Stupidest move in franchise history.

Beating Seattle with a healthy Hassleback at home is not easy as everyone wanted it to be. I really think people here are jumping off the bridge prematurely. Are we a team capable of winning a couple of playoff games. No. Are we still a 8 to 10 win team that's going to win the division. Yes.

I hope you are correct but with the schemes and play design we saw yesterday, 3-5 will be a small miracle. The Saints, Falcons and Eagles will be losses. The Raiders defense will shut down this offense and the Panthers at their house will be no cake walk.

Jimmy Clausen would have been a sweet pick. Wow. All in on Alex Smith turns up snake eyes. 49ers suck!

What good would McNabb do in this offense? He is used to operating in a Walsh-based offense. In Philly and now in Shanahan's version of it, he is a WCO QB. Singletary has already rejected that style and Raye knows nothing about how to run it.

No doubt McNabb is infinitely better than Smith but he would not be worth the money they would have had to pay him to run an offense that does not utilize his skill set to best advantage.

Well, no. That was only the second stupidest move in recent history. The stupidest move was when Eddie forced Bill Walsh to resign. The third stupidest move was to fire Mariucci...but who cares now?

Everyone wants to blame Alex for everything...but that Defense was just as horrible..specifically our DBs.

well there were key plays that initially worked, and should have been TDs, would you agree?

Smith has always relied on the check down option. That's why WR's never put up good #'s with him at the helm. The man can't get it downfield, and when he does, he misses the target most of the time.

The ONLY (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) reason Smith is still with this team is because he was the #1 overall draft pick. Everyone knows that if he was selected in the 2nd round or lower (like he should have been), he would have been cut long ago, most likely right after the shoulder injury, along with an injury settlement.

agreed, did you see bradford today? he played pretty good if you ask me, accurate throws, some throws ive never seen alex smith make. im not worried of letting this bust go, he has always been the WEAK link of the team.
