What happened to that stud that we saw last season? At this rate, I'd rather see more of Ziegler. At least he has heart

If you read my post above I am not defending Crabtree at all. He is probably #1 on my s**t list right now but did he fake injuries? I think the neck strain was a problem for maybe one of the games and he milked it out.

Second, I wonder what Frank Gore said in the locker room? He is one of probably 3 players (him, Willis, J Smith) that I have earned the right over the years to stand up and say listen, "we need to pick it the f**k up, we have to stop killing ourselves. You see the way I practice and give it my all? You guys need to do the same." Crabtree and others need to put the ego aside and get to work and step it up.

Four guys I felt/feel sorry for...Patrick Willis, Frank Gore, Justin Smith and Vernon Davis. Those guys always give it their all and seem to give a sh!t unlike a lot of other guys on our team. Frank Gore's career is being wasted away on a losing franchise.
I can not for the life of me shake this one, bugging the heck out of me. That 'this looked like a Mike Nolan team' a page back really hit and hurt hard. Been years since I've had a game bug me like this and I think it's because what this could represent in that the things we been trying to do to set up for the type of year many of us were expecting or hoping for are not working.

I think most people knew Alex was still Alex but to see him implode like that and go so quickly into his alex-shell and not only not make plays but gift the other team points was a level a lowness i had thought he was past. To see the oline collapse like it did and to the extent it did after the money invested into it was so disheartening. Getting past the rookies, staley the guy thats supposed to be our rock was horrible To see the diva prove Vernon right then to see his diva approach to it afterward with his comments is again, disheartening. The secondary stunk and looks like it will continue to stink and so on.

But most of all, my disappointment is most with singletary. The same mental errors, game management issues, discipline issues he was given a free pass on his first year when he took over were there last year and were there here today. I never wanted him originally hired because of the x's and o's deficiencies but I thought atleast he would bring the discipline and heart, both missing today, third year in. In the games that had meaning going into it, they fall flat, make dumb mistakes in every facet of the game. He will win a few towards the end when they don't matter but by in large for the ones that do, they not only lose but look bad and unprepared in doing so.

rightfully so also should call out raye and the pass rush

Why is it such a shock we had no pass rush. We haven't for years and we did nothing to address it in the offseason. Jesus, everyone around here is really fooling themselves. Get your heads out of your asses; we all knew this kind of sh*t was going to happen. Just didn't think it would happen so quickly and against one of the worst teams in the league; one that shredded its roster in the offseason.

Except for last year

Oh, you mean where we racked up a bunch of sacks in meaningless games (like 8 in the rams game). Yeah, just like last year. No pash rush consistently.
ok stats are stats dude. If you take away our good games then of course they wont count wtf. You pretty much just said if we take away the games we sacked the qb then we will have less sacks. stop failing damnit!
Man, I feel for Pawillis. A true red-n-gold in the midst of a bunch of 'plated' b***hes.
this could be the beginning of a huge problem.

Well put!

Amazingly similar huh?
I'm sure this has been said by someone but I don't feel like reading through comments...

Who's gonna call out Singletary?

Who's gonna call out Singletary?

Lowell Cohn tried calling him out last year

He sure did. Although intrigued by Sing's character, he just thought he was a motivational coach, who would probably have limited success.

I've always thought the same thing. His offensive philosophy seems outdated. I have hoped his style would work, still hope so as all of us fans do, but I doubt it. Sing can be a successful coach but only with a good, strong minded offensive coordinator by his side. Perhaps we can bring back Norv Turner when he gets fired after this season.

IMO if we fail this year all the sour grapes in the Nolan Era, including Sing and Alex need to go. I honestly think someone like John Gruden, who got his first coaching gig in the NFL with the 49ers, would be a perfect fit for this young team.
