1) FA CB.
2) Draft Free Safety.
3) FA Strong Safety.
4) Draft CB.
New secondary and start over. That's how.
Cosigned. THe only guy that can stay is Spencer. The rest can GTFO.
Spencer got roached today. He looked just as bad as anybody.
He was alright today...no one got smoked on our D today. Even Clements dumb as played good but I still want him out.

The best fix for this secondary would be a stud pass rusher. Without that, even the best DBs will look bad frequently.

RCB - Reggie Smith ( I had enuff of Spencer)
FS - Nate Clements (He no longer can play the CB position, but Im sure he still can cover lots of grounds
SS - Taylor Mays (time to unleash this guy, by getting him close up to the line)
LCB - Terrell Brown (it's time to find out what kinda player we have in this guy)
you have got to be kidding me? Spencer?
he is the best CB we have and you have had enough?

You nailed it.
Lawson and Clements are still good assets now that we have Aldon and hopefully a better D cooridinator. Add another cb in FA and Our aggressive/blitzing Defense will take the pressure off of our offense

I have not read one correct response. The secondary is not our problem... it's the sissy-soft zone scheme implemented.
7-10 yard CB cushions killed us all year. These cushions allow opposing QBs to carve us up underneath. Having our CBs play off-coverage keeps focus off of shadowing their man... allows for so many screen successes... allows QBs to get the ball out before any real chance of QB pressures.
Clements did not just forget how to play CB, folks. We signed a physical, in-your-face CB for big money, and then used him as a zone CB in off-coverage. That's just stupidity. Manusky sucks... and our players are made to look pathetic under his scheme.
You nailed it my friend, we sign man coverage corners then put them in a soft zone, maybe if we get a coach that understands the strengths of our players, we would get better play.
So. Freakin. True!

Another thumbs up from me. Jam their receivers at the line and get some heat on the QB. Our base D is an inherently aggressive scheme, we should play that way. No more of this 3-4 D with a 4-3 mindset baloney.

Changing co-ordinators automatically makes the D better. I still think we need to go out and get a bonafide lockdown corner though. Namdi!
