According to the ESPN article I read yesterday, Dixon is 5th on the depth chart behind Gore, Westbrook, MRob and M.Norris.

I think Dixon should be the primary back up. He just dragged Eric Weddle into the end zone. He has shown a lot vs. #1 defenses.
really? i havent seen him do anything against #1 D's then again hes still young and i love his potential but i see him as a #2 back and nthing more

Easily this. Even if Frank were to miss some time, they'd still share the load. Westbrook would likely start, but as far as really "backing up" Gore, it's both of them.

Dixon IMO. Westbrook is more to catch the ball out of the backfield in certain situations.

i would have to say westbrook because he has more experience for blitz pickups on 3rd down. However, if dixon keeps ripping runs like that play him sing! play the guy!
