SHOULD we trade for Revis Island?

After watching the Raiders game Saturday I'm more convinced than ever that in order for this team to be "a contenda" they need marked improvement in pass defense. When the Raiders second string QB throws a perfect passer rating against your first string D then there's a problem. As a fan it pains me to see how good the Niners are in every respect, save one. In a pass first league there a just some things that you cant do without and a great pass D probably tops that list. And on my wish list of things the Niners still needed this offseason( solid line play, solid quaterback play, elite pass rusher and shutdown corner) there are still two to be addresed( fingers crossed) pass rusher and shut down corner! NOW my case for Revis, the man who has his own island versus.... drafting either A. the best pass rusher available or b. the best corner available in next years draft. Im fully aware that trading for Revis Island will probably cost us the price of a real Island but in our case its MORE than worth it. Looking at the Niners depth chart I see good/great starters and solid depth at nearly every position so if we do decide to improve our team through the draft then its almost a lock that we draft either A. and B.(see above) in rounds one and two or B. then A. but either way we defintely need to spend a high pick on a corner. So! why not get a near gar un tee in Revis?? If you put into perspective that were already going to be using a first rounder on a corner then if we were to give the Jets next years first and say three or so more picks and maybe a player we dont need but they do. THEN really all were doing is drafting a corner then making a deal with the devil to gaurantee that, that corner ends up being the best in football IMMEDIATELY! No waiting...no wondering...WINS....NOW!!! Just imagine for just one second what that would feel like! BEST DEFENSE IN FOOTBALL(or at least top 3). Spencer would be in charge of number two recievers! are you kidding me.?? Teams cant run and they would have a real tough time throwing. Now put that in your coke and shake it!

Why would the Jets trade a player like Revis when he still has several years remaining on his rookie contract?
