And I think that's a shame...because I saw our starters make some pretty impressive plays out there. They're basically going to have to fight not only with their opponent, but Raye's garbage playcalling.

How many more 3rd and long draws are we going to see, even if it's Brian Westbrook with the ball now? Eventually, even the quality of your personnel cannot cover up the stench of crappy playcalling. The calls have no rhythm, no cadence. No sense of balance, and no serious read of the defense.

It's really muchado about nothing when your top 3 lethal weapons aren't even playing on the field!

Again, I am critiquing the actual plays called, and not necessarily their outcomes against an AFC doormat like the Raiders.

You're evaluating the "starting" offense that's missing most to all of its starters at the skill position(s) in pre-season.

I just want to verify that's what's being done here.

No, I'm evaluating the play calling...it sucks. Nothing I've heard so far from the resident crew of homers has changed that opinion.

The players did well given the plays they were asked to execute.

Guy just still doesn't get it. Dude, can you please just realize that you are b*tching and moaning about preseason play calling? Please.....

it's not meant to help win a game or even be indicative of what will happen during
the regular season. it's meant to give coaches very specific insights on certain things.
for instance...

- during the indy game, they INTENTIONALLY did not give help to rookie a.davis vs.
pro-bowler r.mathis just to see how he would handle being overmatched. in the
reg season he would have gotten help and that could have generated better O,
but would not have served the purpose of pre-season... to get your team better.

- we INTENTIONALLY ran straight ahead at the minn vikes highly touted run D,
so that sing could make a point to his young and developing OL that we still have
a ways to get to where we need to be. more creative play calling might have
opened up some things, but would not have served the purpose of pre-season...
to get your team better.

jimmy raye's play-calling was pretty good for the 2nd half of last year, and i
imagine will improve this year now that everyone's getting MUCH more comfortable
with the O.

guys... JUST RELAX!!! ...preseason means squat. just ask the colts every year.

Haha...I loled.

Serious question though, if the preseason means squat, why are the Niners 3-0 so far. They actually look like they are trying to win these games. Going for it on 4th down after getting stuffed two times in a row by a pathetic Raider D in a preseason game.

You're free to not respond, but you keep coming back. Why is that?

You disagree with me, we get it.

I say you don't get it....and you are wrong.

Deal.

He's been taking what the defense has given him and plus its preseason. Crabtree, Vernon, and Gore haven't played at all until Frank's 1st quarter against the raiders.

Plus Raye has never been considered a great offensive coordinator so I don't know why his predicatable offense is such a surprise.

Agree
You haven't responded to the claim that you are whining about preseason play calling. Once you address that, and own up to your NT whine and snivel, I'll stop asking you that question.
Acp, you're a very angry person.

No not really. Love life, always wake up to a bright sunny day and say "It's a great day to be alive".

If you ask me, the people who whine and snivel about Pre Season playcalling are the angry ones. There would be no other reason to whine about that if they weren't upset with how their life is going.

No.. You don't get it. Wow... Raye incorporated a new offence last year.. When a cordinater does that, it looks vanilla.. This year will be different.. Why would we show any of our cards in preseason?

P.S. I'm not talking to you The ACP HATER. Kray28 apparently ate paint chips as a child for snack time.

P.S.S. Just wow.. Baffled really..

P.S.S.S Maybe you should become a Raiders fan.

Why is that a claim worth responding to? You're free to disagree with my opinion, but I'm under no obligation to respond to you.

You're only defense for the playcalling is "it's preseason".

Okay....and?? How does that explain the increasingly painful similarity of the preseason playcalling to the regular season playcalling of last season.

Next up is the notion that the Niners would not want to "give away their playbook". A laughable contention really when the Niners themselves can control what they choose to run in their regular season meeting with the Raiders.

When they meet in October, should the Niners hold back their playbook lest they give away any secret plays they might use if they happen to meet the Raiders in the Superbowl?
