Don't doubt my boy Alex Smith! I kept telling people, once the man has a line, he is going to do some things! And to think, the line is only going to get better and better with each passing week!

Check out Dixon's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th carries on that 1st drive.
The offensive line did a very good job on getting a push.
2nd carry, huge hole but great defensive play by Henderson who got his hand on Dixon's ankle to trip him up.
3rd carry, good 2 yard push by the O-Line but Dixon's light dance allowed for the LB to close in. If Dixon hit it straight in, he would have had 2 possibly three yards on the OL push alone.
4th carry, good push by the O-Line and Dixon hit it straight without dancing and got 3 yards after first contact was at 2 yards.
Our Line was getting good push in that first drive. Oh yeah! Baas is doing well but now I want to see how Heittman does next to Iupati. I know Iupati's push helps Baas but I'm sure they both do well in that area and probably would get a better push than an Iupati/Heittman combo.

I liked the way our two guys in the back field picked up the blitzers on the first throw to Walker. If they can work that way together in a consistent basis with the added awareness of A. Smith at the line, we are going to be a tough offense to defend.

any of smith's throws on that drive could have been picked if there was a defender in front of the reciever
put in nate

I forget what carry it was, and it is hard to say because I had the TV angle, but when it happened, I said, "If that was Gore, that is a major gain right there!" It looked like Dixon could have taken it to the left of the line and there was a lot of room to work with. Instead, he ran right into the line for no gain.

What? But they weren't. Can you be anymore more obvious!!! Hater!
The team did well with Alex leading and scored the only TD vs. a very good D!!!
Nate can take a back seat for another year and learn where the first downs are! Im not getting all excited off a couple of deep throws...We already knew he could do that and he did okay vs. 2nd strings.

The line actually got some good pushes on quite a few running plays where if it were Gore, the RB would have exploded through for at least 4 yards.
