How does the offensive line carousel help us again?

If we can run the ball the passing game will take care of itself

Yea man this is one huge disaster I say this season in over already b/c Heitmann might miss one game.

the only way those rookies will get better is by getting that experience

The O-line can't possibly be as bad as last year.

There will be growing pains, particularly until we get Heitmann back, but then again, a full month of Baas at center may lend itself to that "continuity" concept you alluded to.

We have a QB that we don't care much about; so, why not let the young linemen learn on the job...

I feel confident with Iupati at LG because he'll be next to our stud Joe Staley and have someone to his right, whether it's Baas or Wragge (both have experience). Iupati is a beast anyways, as soon as he cleans up his technique, he'll be just fine.

I'm not too confident with A. Davis simply because he's 20 yrs old.. he's playing a difficult position at RT and will be facing some tough DEs around the league. He's out there with Chilo to his left (and we all know Chilo has struggled at times), and nobody on his right unless we keep Vernon in to block to help him out.

I know both of them will have growing pains, but hopefully they can get it together before the season starts.

vernon davis might be the best RT on this team right now lol

How can you say that? 2 of our starting lineman are rookies. They have never played a down in an NFL game. They are going to be going up against veterans. I believe that they will have successful careers, but as far as this year, you cant already say that our offensive line will play better when we have 2 rookies, and a guard that has not played center in the NFL.

Seriously... Put away the Alex love or Alex hate and look at it logically. QB was and is a huge issue for our team; but, if we bring in another young QB behind a bad line we will end up with another Alex. It's best to develop the line then bring in a young QB to take the team to the next level. It's a cart before the horse thing...
